Carbon black covered hoppers

I just ordered 20 carbon black cars! Yikes expensive endevour.

My take is Gates Rubber in Denver will go through a lot of Carbon black, and I can switch alot of cars out on each operating session.

I appreciate all this great info, and look forward to building this new industry.

The edges of the treads should be shiny as they are rubbed by the retarders at a hump yard.

I just got my order of 20 cars. Man it does look menacing. Scaletrains did an excellent job with this model.

So a rubber plant like Gates Rubber. What kind of other railcars did they serve? Tank cars, box cars?
