I'm throwing my chips in for BN being the origional scheme owner. Partly because the BN picture you sent predates GO rail's newer paint scheme AFAICT, and partly because that is one of the roads in my avatar that I model.
Even if I'm wrong, very interesting conundrum indeed...
Maybe others can clear the air.
I'm beginning to realize that Windows 10 and sound decoders have a lot in common. There are so many things you have to change in order to get them to work the way you want.
Besides TF being missing for a week, Johnboy has been missing for a very long time. Hope they are ok.

Flo, give the gang and I a and Dirk half a dog treat.
Internet has been on and off all day, so this will be short.
Dirk seems better to day and while he limped just a tad he is acting like his old self.
Oiled the Mighty PRR GG1 and Ed it was so easy! I was stunded by the shell weight! You could beat someone to death with it! I like the dual motors, with that weight I bet it could pull as well as my NFW Y-6b.
TF I miss the post hog.
Time to sit outside with Dirk so later.
Ken and Dirk say's Woof, Woof daddy, I feel better Woof!

Good Evening All,
Just dropping in for that beer Ken offered. Thanks mate!
Not much to report though I did fix the dishwasher and added a 2 x 4 on edge to the back side of the layout so the backround hangs right and the track now has enough room to have clearance and a safety shelf.
Last night I did pry the Sperry building apart and reworked it a bit.
2nd try by J.R. Mitchell, on Flickr
I moved the window line up on the side and changed out the ends for cast concrete so it looked better (imho). Still no roof but we'll get there. I needed to clean up first.
By all means, lets add Harold to the R.I.P. track. I had forgotten his web site and how helpful it was.
Catch y'all later. J.R.
Evenin' Folks!
Been a nice comfortable Sunday here in the Finger Lakes. Zoomed to church today and they had some trouble getting things to work right. One of the principle presenters for the service got on the phone with the support people and was told they are sorry, they already know and the problem was happening world wide... Have no idea what went wrong, but our paster kinda improvized her service with us... we had a church meeting after the service which we had to leave the service and log back in to a different room. That one worked with no problem, so eveidentally they got the error fixed. The meeting was to elect a Pastor Nominating committee to search for a new pastor. Our wonderful pastor is retiring as is mandated by our denomination at age 71.
cudakenYou beat someone to death with it!
I don't think murder is allowed!!!!!!!
My contribution for today. This is the scenery near the town of Keuka Creek on my layout. I used some of these photos for a scenery clinic a couple years back for my NMRA Division. Enjoy!

Good evening y'all
I just got back from up North for a better part of a week. I needed a little getaway and it was good.
A friend of mine needed some help with some plumbing, an electrical problem and some other fix it things at his cabin. I was happy to oblige.... Anything to get up north for some R&R is alright with me.
We ripped off the rotten deck on the front of the cabin and had a heck of a pile by the fire pit. Nothing a few beers and some good conversation at night didn't take care of. The pile is gone now
We had some really nice weather but a couple of rain days. Sitting in the cabin playing cards isn't too bad either. The fishing was pretty good, I've seen better but "a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work" as the old saying goes
And I do have a fishing story. There always is a fish story you know. It was the same thing that happened to me when I was a little kid. I was reeling in a perch, getting it right up to the boat and it was pretty decent-sized. That Adrenaline Rush scared the BeGeses out of me when that Huge Northern swam up and grabbed the perch and snapped my line. I darn near crapped my pants
It was good to get away. Away from the TV, phone and everything else. I feel really refreshed and glad to be home.
I missed you guys and hope you're all well
Oh and I see I missed Dave's birthday party at the Diner. Happy Belated Birthday Dave!!!

P.S. Wow! After reading a little more, I just want to thank everyone for your concern.... Nice!

Hey, some nice modeling you have going on there Ray Impressive! I got some catching up to do on the rest of the Forum.
Heartland Division CB&QEverybody .... Read Wayne's post and decide if you agree we should include Harold on the RIP Track. I think so.
No argument!!

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Hi TF,
Glad you had a good time up north! Thanks for the belated birthday wishes. Good to see you back!
hon30critterI have added Harold's name to the RIP Track.
Thanks, Dave!
It´s a bit of a grey day here, but kind of warm. Not the weather I like.
Still trying to figure out where to find that place in the world for Petra and I to spend a life in peace and quiet. I took another look at Canada, but Canadian immigrations laws do not foresee retired people moving there unless they have children or grandchidren already being residents and are able to provide for them should the need arise. One more country off the list. There are not many on that list left, in fact, none at the moment! This is getting awkward!
Stay safe!
Happy times!

Tf .... Good to see you back in the DIner.
Ray ....... Thanks for psoting the photos of work on your layout. Your stonework is excellent, and so is the rock strata. I recall your working on those projects. Nice.
JR... Your Sperry building is exceptionally nice looking.
Dave .... Thanks for including Harold on the RIP track. Sad he passed away.
Ulrich .... Best wishes to you and Petra.

SeeYou190Ray, I love those clamps you used. Do you know what brand they are?
I think those came from Micro-Mark but I don't see them listed anymore... They are my go-to clamps for a lot of projects. They can adjust from almost nothing to over a foot and very accurate and easy to use. All I can see on them is "Japan" and a butterfly, so not much help...
Thanks for the good comments folks!
Have a Doctors appointment this afternoon via Facetime. Hoping everything will be found to be good. All my bloodwork came back within normal specs, so.....??? Later I plan to make contact with a local bicycle store here in Geneva (considered to one of the best in the country and I have known the owner for many years) to make an appointment to get fitted and buy a "Hybred" bike. Also need a helmet and the gear to mount it to the roof rakes on the Tesla. So I will be spending more of my children's inheritance...
Icky, cool, and sprinkly today here in the Finger Lakes. May not get my 4.5 mile run in. Will try to get 5 miles of walking in if only around the house (that is a lot of walking around the hall, kitchen and office area... LOL). May get out for a run this afternoon if the rain holds off.
Take Care out there!

Thank you for looking.
I bought two pair of similar clamps from Amazon a few years back, Kevin.

The price has since nearly doubled! (mine were 2/$13) They are certainly very handy and worth the cost. Perhaps the price may drop a little. I have noticed this on Amazon for some items. Sometimes I put something in my "wish-list" and watch for a while for the best price.
Here's the micromark version:

Good Luck, Ed
So far, I haven't had a doctor's appointment changed to a phone call, but I think I would cancel it if that's all I could get. Does anyone else think a phone call can substitute for an old-fashioned office visit?
Admittedly, I have had a few in-person appointments that were no better than phone calls, but this is no substitute for real medicine.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Mr. B. I think it depends on the circumstances. If I thought I needed to be seen (not viewed) I would insist on a face to face, not a phone call or video chat. Hard times just now and I'm more flexible on just about everything.
Afternoon.....

Actually it was a call via Facetime. He did all the same stuff that is usually done in person. I took my own BP and I took my weight this morning. So other than looking at my bloodwork from the lab (all was in good normal range) and talking about what I am doing and advising me about current items and some continued work I am doing for my health, it wasn't that much different than in person. If he felt that an in person follow up was warrented, he would have had that scheduled.
Now my Podiatrist appt. last week where he had to do some trimming and checking out the feet and legs... Yep that was in person. My dermatologist appt. will also be in person. Unavoidable... However I would at this time rather not to have to go and sit in the waiting room with other people even if we are spaced out. Yep, I take my longevity and my staying healthy very seriously, my friend!

Ken .... Have a on me. ...... I beat you to it.
gmpullmanI bought two pair of similar clamps from Amazon a few years back, Kevin.
Thanks for the links Ed, I just ordered four of them. They look really handy.
OK, I have started putting my layout back up. It is still in large pieces, but most of it is upstairs in its new home. My project for the day was setting up the original far left corner, where I had my Empire Leather Tanning Company. I got to the point where I'm ready to put the legs on and stand up that first section.
I had labelled each leg, but that was almost two years ago and I was in a hurry. I couldn't figure out my own labeling. I went back and looked at old photos and was able to figure out that my labels actually had been somewhere between misleading and just wrong.
I have to find my camera. I think I know where it is.
Ken The decline of my motorcycling started with my cervical spine issues. When you have to hold your head, just to get out of bed, putting a helmet on isn't the best plan when you have cervical stenosis. Heart surgery put serious doubts in my mind and then I went to a BMW tech day, where we work on bikes, and a fellow biker in a cage {car} knocked my bike down. After that, one of my best friends did a face plant on sand, in a South African park and broke his neck and that finished me.
Mr B tele-visits are second class medicine. If that's all that is possible, it is better than the witch doctor. Medical visits have changed even before the virus from talking and examining, to filling out check lists and looking at labwork. Actually examing the patient is not a big part of visits today.
The nurses who take care of my mother with Alzheimers said they thought she had rectal bleeding. My mother denied it, but she wouldn't remember if she did. I suggested to the nurse practioner that she needed a rectal exam to test the stool and feel for masses. You would have thought I suggested throwing a couple virgins in volcano, with the look she gave me.

Hum, seems I will get unemployment from the state of ILL? Pretty sure I am not going to touch it! (I have a debit card from the state) One thing I know about ILL they make you pay them back in the long run! I am reciving a check from the company again from the Feds.

Thanks Kevin, Dave, and Garry for the welcome back
Seems Brent, Saints Fan John and John Boy have been a little scarce lately. Could be the weather's getting nice I suppose.
Back to the work zone for me today. I tell ya I can't complain. The condo manager here really likes my work and has been giving me more. The list I can do at my leisure so it's becoming kind of a cake job. I work about 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. I haven't left this place for other work for well over a month as I don't need to. I'll have to say I'm liking this arrangement
I don't have much I have to do tomorrow so I think I'm going to start kitbashing my deck top girder bridges.
All the stores with their own door opened up today. The first thing I did after work was drive down to St Paul to the Hobby Store to get some things I need. I'm back in business for some more Modeling
Have a good evening everyone.

My first one of these is supposed to happen this coming Friday. I'm not completely thrilled about it either. The only two things that I like about it is that I don't have to leave the house, and I don't have to wear pants.

And you won't have to bend over for... Ah... That particular test we get! LOL Yes, unless in person is needed, safer for all concerned at the moment!
Here's a short note. Has this ever happened to you or is it just me? I was sitting at the table working on a bridge. I got up to take a little break. When I came back to work on my bridge again I couldn't find my glasses. After looking for them for about 10 minutes, Judy asked me what are you looking for? I said I can't find my glasses. She said they're clipped onto your shirt
Track fiddler I said I can't find my glasses. She said they're clipped onto your shirt
I hate it when I can't find my glasses! There are two absolute truths about losing your glasses. One is that they are in the last place you put them. Two, you will find them in the last place you look!
