Nice cars, but I dunno...they're actually refrigerator cars, not boxcars.
There's no way that I can chime-in with my boxcars, either, as there are probably over a hundred of them, all boxcar red of one shade or another. It was a very popular colour for boxcars in the '30s.

I found a colorful GREAT NORTHERN boxcar on the Georgia S-Scalers portable layout.
Sorry for the wierd angle of the photograph. The plexiglass barrier was covered with fingerprints, so I had to shoot over it. That is one of the advantages of being so freakishly tall I guess.

The frame was broken, and a friend sent it to me for repairs. While the repair was rather easy, the transaction took a bit of a bad turn when Canada Customs charged me a ridiculous fee for duties owed, as the owner had valued it as a complete locomotive and tender, even though he had, as I originally suggested, sent only the running gear.
The debacle was eventually cleared-up, and the charge dismissed.
And that brings us to "Z"....that's "zed", folks, unless... you know...you consider it to be a "zee". I'll overlook that faux pas, though, since I have a lot of American friends.

General Industries is Walther's Fireproof Storage & Transfer Background Building.The name came from a nearly hundred year old local business that was destroyed by fire a few years ago. I mounted it diagonally on the corner and built side walls and a roof from black foam-core to give the building some depth and provide stability.
