More wood products, please.

.

How about the legendary Canadian Plywood Forest on the S-Modulators Fun & Disasters portable layout?

.

.

Show me something else that is just a bit silly.

More wood products, please. Anyone have wrapped plywood?

It's not plywood, but this load of lumber is "wrapped" in a boxcar...

It also looks as if the load has shifted in-transit - the unseen side, at a lumber yard, is worse, and they've asked for the car to be turned.  I think that a damage claim is likely to be submitted.

More wood products, please.

Show me another car carrying forest products, please.

More small steamers, please.

This diminutive B8b stops for a little fuel and water between "shifting" duties on the PRR.

Show me small steam... 2-6-2 or smaller!

Prairie-type locos weren't all that common up here in Canada, but 2-6-0 Moguls were.  Here's a brass model of an ex-B&M B-15,  somewhat modified with a cab from a Bachmann Consolidation and some added details.  The tender was also altered to increase its capacities....

More small steamers, please.

That sounds like a request to see STRATTON AND GILLETTE #893, a big 4-8-4 steam locomotive.

CB&Q began using its Chinese Red paint scheme in 1959 when EMD delivered new SD24's. This color scheme was used on SD's, GP's and U's thoughout the 1960' s before the Burlington Northern merger and Cascade Green locomotives.

Please show more colors of the 1945-1965 period.

A bit different view...........here are 16 Bev-Bel models of the Pullman-Standard "colorful" box cars produced in the 1950s.  They were safely sitting in a plastic container while my current layout was being built.

How about some more "built in the 1950s era" pics.....

ENJOY  !

Please show me another paint scheme introduced between 1945 and 1965.

The New York Central rebuilt fifty former box cars into cabooses during the War effort. Five of these were selected in 1946 to wear the Pacemaker vermillion and gray .

Little Timmy
Let's see some " Old Timer" stuff..... anything pre WW II .

Built in September of 1912, this Dominion/Fowler boxcar was last re-weighed in September, 1936....

An Accurail model (one of ten similar cars) I re-did the original plank roof as a metal-sheathed type, a common upgrade to the cars' prototypes.  Custom lettering is from Rail Graphics

Please show me some more pre-WWII stuff please.

D&H 7312 sits near the south yard signal. I had an operational one on the north end, but the wiring would keep getting messed up.

Here is a simple 3 track signal bridge, made by kitbashing two Bachmann double track bridges.  It is not wired, but maybe some day...........

Any more signals out there?

G Paine
Show me a signals bridge

A set of helpers coasts downgrade on the left while another train, also with EMD power, digs in up the grade on the right. Both position-light signals are absolute stop, for opposing traffic, with red lenses instead of the usual yellow. Far to the upper-right the B&O has a clear indication for an eastbound.

 PRR_EF-15_2_tone by Edmund, on Flickr

Show me any other signal, please — classification or marker light, traffic signal, flag or semaphore, even a radio tower beacon.
