Evening folks,
Ulrich happy birthday!
Jimmy congrats on the new job, good luck!
So big news I'm currently in the process of purchasing a 2004 Mercury Marauder for $5,500 I have a few financial details to work out but I have a really good feeling about this.
This is a marauder if you've never heard of them.

A couple fish stories. Someone caught a barracuda last week off Ocean City Md, in Baltimore canyon, which is where they go to fish for tuna, 60 miles offshore.
Barracuda are harmless to scuba divers. They hang out and stare at you. In some places in the Carribean they are edible in others, they are considered to have ciguaterra, a toxic poison. I had some in the Caymans and it was good. The guides cooked a mess of different fish, on a piece of tin over an open fire.
Another fishman, well fisherwoman, caught a 74 # Mahi Mahi off OC. Surpassing the 72 # record set 3 weeks before. These are considered tropical fish.

SeeYou190Top of the page! Everybody have a cold one on me.
I've already had two cold ones. Can I have another?

It is so darned hot in Nashville! It is not this hot down home in South Florida right now.

Things are back on an even keel this week. This week should be stress free and smooth sailing.

Thanks for the leads on Arizona.
A Plane Museum and a Train Museum would be something I would really be into.
Kind of ironic. Judy and I have been looking for more creative things to do when we go to Laughlin Nevada on our free trips. After three times there we're looking for more things to do.
How can you refuse a free trip? The places you speak of are about four hours away from there. Nothing a rental car and an extra Hotel hotel can't handle. Judy also has more places she wishes to visit in Arizona.
Although I will never go there again in the summer time. I do not like a 115 to 120 degrees
We went to go across the street in July like we usually do when were down there in the Winter to the dollar store for two gallons of water for drinking while we're there.
After about twenty paces we looked at each other. It felt like our heads were baking and our eyes were Popping out of our heads. We turned around and went back to the casino
That was some heat
Thanks John for the info
PS. I never understood the Mexican sombrero hats until I was in the heat...... Now I do!
Jimmy: I don't remember if you told us earlier. What is the job? (Congrats, BTW.)

Ed ... Belated Happy Birthday !
Ditto, I must have missed that one somehow.
TF, I know what you mean about sleeping. I have been retired three years and I still wake up as I did for years.
If you're interested in planes and you are near Phoenix, be sure to go to the Commemorative Air Force Museum. They have great displays of planes, and they have some WWII bombers they still fly.
Congratulations, Jimmy. Hope you love the new job.
Also, Happy Birthday, Ulrich! I doubt I will ever visit there, but if I did, I would make sure to see the Miniature Wonderland. I enjoyed watching the video of it.
Bear, you have an interesting job. I know it's work to you, but it would be a great thing to see each day for most of us.
Steven, if at your young age you ever finally figure out women and their emotions, please tell the rest of us.
Speaking of Mesa, AZ, another place near there is the Arizona Railway Museum in Chandler. It's a great place spend the day walking around and through pieces of railroad history.
It's time to head outside and take care of my nemesis -- the lawn. I fight the urge each week to pour chemicals on it, kill all the grass, and have bare dirt that doesn't need any care. The only good thing about it is when I'm done, I know I won't have to cut it again for several days.
Have a good start to the week.
Jimmy ..... Congratulations !

EVERYWHERE LOST; WE HUSTLE OUR CABOOSE FOR YOU
Good morning.
I tried to sleep in this morning since it is my first day off since last Sunday Monday.
I had to work through the weekend since I will have a short week this week. We are going up to Wisconsin to visit the mother-in-law and my brother-in-law for a nice four day weekend.
I'm beginning to believe trying to sleep in is just a waste of time when you are used to waking up at 5:30 to 6 everyday. That sort of thing only seems to work when it's dark and raining out.
Those planes are cool Bear. I like old planes just like old cars and old ships. Old steamers too of course. My favorite war plane is the Corsair.
Happy birthday Ulrich I have eight years to catch up with you...... Thanks for the crumble cake. Delicious!
Congratulations on the new job Jimmy.
Good Morning All,
Happy Birthday Ulrich and a belated Happy Birthday Ed.
Must be Monday morning. Just a regular to go please Zoe. All the Smedleys aren't even in yet and it's already flat out in here. I really must be going 'cause I'm late, I'm late, I'm late....... J.R.
gmpullman And a very belated to you, Ed. Thank you, Bear! Always the gentleman How about starting the week off by looking at some of the operations of "The Royal Mails" https://railwaywondersoftheworld.com/tpos.html Quite fascinating, indeed! Happy Monday to you all — Ed

Adding to that - a lshort film of how the mail was picked up, resp. dropped off while the train went full steam past bthe station!
Better not to stand in the way of those mail pouches!
Hi Bear,
I was just kidding about you making me look like a dummy! Thanks, but I don't need any help in that regard. I can do that all by myself, and recently I seem to be getting quite good at it!
Seriously, I can hardly wait until someone more knowledgable identifies the various occupants of the hanger.
I have to say that I am rather envious of you JaBear! I can't imagine how happy I would be to be able to work with people like yourself who dedicate your lives to keeping the old birds in the air! It gives me goose bumps every time I see an old warbird or Beaver flying just as they were intended to so long ago!
Cheers!!
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
