Hello,
I am visiting New York City/Manhattan and I would visit, if possible an model railroad club.
Are/Is there (a) model railroad club(s) in the surroundings of New York/Manhattan( Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island,.....), Newark/New Jersey.
Thank you in advance for the information
Googling "model railroading club+new york city" gave me several hits. Altering the wording may give you others...

The big question is whether you will have access to a car or are you confined to clubs that can be visted by public transit?
Please let me know and I will be able to make a few suggestions.
The New York City Transit Museum can be reached via the subway and is certainly worth a trip

I went to Gulliver's Gate a couple of years ago. I enjoyed it, but they had a nice senior discount at the time.
Trainworld might be worth seeing.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

Probably not unless you go to the flagship store in Long Island which can be reached by LIRR.
OTOH you can pick up your orders in either stor .
I was going to recommend the Bay Ridge club in Brooklyn, but just learned they were evicted, and are moving up the Hudson. Now, there will be TWO O scale clubs in Kingston.
Or not. The other club hasn't posted on Facebook since 2017, and I cant find any website.

Just be glad you don't have to press "2" for English.
