I think my Controlmaster XI is more of the copper colored variety.

.

I do love playing with this beast from time to time.

Sure is Kevin!  There is one over on that auction site that I am watching, not as pristine as I want mine to be.  I was looking thru the 1978 Walthers catalog and that model was $150!   Bet not to many got made or sold unless it was made for several years.  I know I have never seen one at shows, seen lots of the 500/501 models in like new to mint in the box for under $30 though.

I could never afford a Controlmaster XI when they were new. I did buy a Troller Twin Momentum 5 when I was in High School. I had to save two paychecks for that purchase.

I paid $20.00 for my Controlmaster XI at an antique store in Georgia about five years ago!

Good price and nice buy.  I will find one, they are out there.  I found my pristine Railine 370 at the bottom of a box of junky HO stuff, its a wonder the copper finish is as nice as it is, not even a scratch!  Works well but I would like the meters and momentum/brake set up on the XI for my layout.  I am just super picky about the copper finish being realy pristine.  The dependablity of those era controlers is second to none.  Wish that had carried thru to thier DCC decoders.  I used a few of them when I dabbled with going to DCC a few years ago.  I am happy to see they will carry on.  Be interesting to see what new product return to the market.  Right now, everything on the companies website shows out of stock    Mike the Aspie
