The Erie Northshore's "BEE", originally a gas-electric, but later converted to diesel-electric, is a modified Rivarossi combine....
The front frame and fuel tank is part of the frame from an Athearn F7, as is the front truck. The sideframes on that truck are from Detail Associates, as are many of the other detail parts. The headlight and class lights are from Cal-Scale, while the pilot is from a Bachmann Northern.The rooftop radiator is partially scratchbuilt, along with parts from an MDC 3-in-1 kit, the air intakes from an Athearn geep, and some rooftop fairing from New England Rail Services, while the coach seats are from Pikestuff. While both front and rear trucks pick-up power, only the front one supplies the power to the track, via a Mashima can motor, mounted on its flat side, and driving through the stock Athearn drive train.
It's a smooth runner (moreso than the jerky video below shows) and a great puller...

Both of the Branchline reefers shown below were originally billboard-style beer reefers. Since billboard cars were outlawed before the time of my late-'30s era layout, I stripped off the lettering, and slightly re-detailed the cars during assembly.

Nothing exotic. Grafton Tower is a largely unmodified Bachmann structure. It is lighted and has a tower operator in place.

This is the Grand Valley's station at Mount Forest....
While the track has been ballasted since that photo was taken, there's still not much more of the town built, which explains the empty platform.

This is the Dunnville Station, and it, and the raised right-of-way, were courtesy of the New York Central, which at one time owned a major share in the Grand Valley Railway. Central was long gone by the time of my late '30s modelling era...
The far wing includes the railroad's express business, the near wing a Post Office, while the centre portion, accessed one floor down at street level, is the station. Railroad-related offices mostly fill the upper stories.

The open auto rack cars are ones I made many years ago from kits made by Quality Craft. They are made of wood. Same with the TOFC flat cars.

The racks aren't visible here, but that white line on the door indicates that the car is equipped with Evans auto-loader racks...
