Show Me Something - August 2018
Posted by SeeYou190 on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 8:12 AM

Welcome to the August , 2018

"Show Me Something"

audience participation thread!

How exciting... I get to start the August edition of the mosty fun thread on the forum!

This is a place where forum members can post their photos containing a view of a "requested" scene or object.

If you show the scene requested you can then make a request of your own or choose to stay with the current request.

Your photos should be of models only, not a "real-life" scene. After 24 hours, if the requested scene has not been posted, anyone is welcome to make their own submission and then make the next request of their choosing.

If no request was made by a contributor, the prior request is still in effect.

I will start us off this month with a picture of one of my favorite boxcars that gets seen on STRATTON & GILLETTE rails from time to time. This is a basic forty foot boxcar lettered for the FRONT RANGE & WESTERN. This was one of the first HO scale boxcars I painted using a set of decals I was given in a decal swap. The herald was a bit too big so I cut out the ram and made him coming out of the black line in the striping.

.

As always you can click on the image for a larger view.

.

.

Please show me another boxcar with an animal in the artwork.

It's a little stylized but it is a cat!

Please continue with bridges and/or water scenes.

That wouldn't happen to be a Rapido observation for the Canaidan?

Hi

This is my first try at scratch building. Both bridges and piers built 2007. Now if I can get the photos inserted.

Lee

Well that did not work.

The above photo is copy and paste

If I copy the address and insert it I get the tiny little icon.

If I copy and paste I get the photo overlaping the text and I can't see to edit.

Is it Imgur or is it me?

.

Lee, this is how Imgur works for me.

.

First upload your picture, then click on the picture in your album. That brings up this screen. Click on the direct link "copy" button.

.

.

Then in the MR Forums, click on the "insert image" icon.

.

.

Then simply paste the link from Imgur into the "source" box and click the OK button.

.

.

That should work for you.

I think the current request is for bridges and/or water scenes... so here is a recycled picture with both, just to get the thread back onto track.

.

Show me another scene with bridges and/or water. Thanks!
