mbinsewi, yes the first is an ad I realized after I posted the three pictures of the club that I had to post a picture of a smaller locomotive...
The T-1 and RSD-15 are mine and the Triplex is Rod's all were taken in various points on the club layout...
The monster kitbash lives on I'm going to make it a boxcab with a Trainmaster style deck that houses the motors... It still will have the centipede B-D-B+B-D-B arrangement... I might make a center cab farther down the road but I figure the boxcab would be cooler and easier...
Steve
If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough!
mbinsewiI don't know if this is "giant" or not, but I remember you under your previous handle, and the mega kit-bash you wanted to do, building a center cab, and while scrolling and searching one day, I found this, and thought of you. Lets continue with more big loco stuff.
.
Mike, what kind of a center cab locomotive is that?
Here is a G scale 2-8-8-2, that should be big enough.
One more time... Show me another big locomotive.
-Kevin
Living the dream.
Kevin, that is a center cab switcher/transfer diesel built by I believe Baldwin for the Pennsy, it had two engines and a C-C arrangement... The Illinois Central or Terminal not sure which had a center cab transfer diesel that was a B-B+B-B arrangement...
Kevin,
As Steven says, built by Baldwin, the RT624. When Steven first joined us, with the CascadeNorthern RR handle, he posted draws of a mega center cab, made from a bunch of GP30's bashed together. He wanted BIG locos.
Searching one day, as I do a lot, for all things railroad, I found this, and thought of him, with a chuckle, and saved the picture.
As far as BIG, I don't think I've ever seen photos of anything bigger than the steam turbines.
Mike.
The big locomotive topic stands, steam or diesel, and kit-bashed or scratch built more than welcome.

Let’s get back on track.
The thread is for models. Not the Prototype.
A person posts a photo of a model that fits in with the request in the last post.
Then that person makes a request for the next photo.
The current request is for a big locomotive , and that should be a model of a big locomotive.
Thank you.

Oh sorry I did not know that my first time here in the "Show Me Something" I didn't know the rules and I know I got a little carried away ... Please do post the basic rules in the first post of next months thread... Thanks!

""Show me anything B&O or anything Blue or Gray...."
An old photo of my matched set of ALCO PA's. They are gray, but not B&O grey.
More blue or grey locos please.

gmpullman, this is one exquisitely beautiful photo. Excellent scene, a prize winner, send it to MR! -MM
Here is some blue paint on some Santa Fe locomotives at the summit.
Show me a locomotive with blue or yellow in the livery or show me something Christmasy or wintery. Anything with Santa on it is ok too.
The message below used to be at the beginning of each month's thread.
"Welcome to the "Show Me Something" thread! This is a place where forum members can post their photos containing a view of the "requested" scene or object.
No "real-life" photos but models only. After 24 hours, if the requested scene is not posted anyone is welcome to make their own submission and make their own request. It's all about having fun! "

A big thanks for posting the rules.
I suggest we add the following at the end..
"If a contibutor does not include a request in his post, the previous request is still in effect."
Also I suggest:
" To keep the thread moving along, please request common items. "
...
Back to your request.
Thank you for posting the rules clarified alot... Just a friendly suggestion, why not make a "Show Me Something" thread for the prototype too??? Just an idea...

In the Prototype Information For The Modeler forum there is a thread called Waldorf and Statler's Photo of the Day. You can post random prototype photos there.

I agree. The idea is not to stump people but to get people to post as many pictures as possible.

My model of the B&M 'slug set' as it appeared around 1980
I like the last part of LW&SF's request, so show me something Christmasy or wintery. Anything with Santa on it is ok too.

Let's run with that
It has been a couple days. Time to bring this thread back to the top.
I saw this on a modular S scale layout at the Tampa train show. It is a bunch of FEMA trailers from the 1950's. This is a scene that is funny for Floridians, and brought several chuckles from visitors.
FEMA trailers are part of our lives every few years.
Show me another funny scene.
Two days and no roundhouse. Here is a small "interesting structure" to keep the thread moving.
This little scale house, constructed of balsa, has been around for a long time. I constructed the 'ghost' car scale on the elevator siding. It has since been re purposed as a used farm machinery dealer.
Another "interesting structure" please.
On my layout, Dragon Products cement plant has a scale house with both rail and truck scales
SHow me another interesting structure
BRVRRAnother "interesting structure" please.
In a scene I'm still working on,
A PRR Watch House, a "Fillin" station, coal mine and cement plant...

Here is a scene on the club layout, This is the west end of Tony Giusiana's module representing NYC's Goodman Yard. A short freight sits behind a WP Mikado while the New Amsterdam Limited lays over in the middle. A 20 car piggyback train behind two SD75M's occupy the track next to the OAT. If you look closely, you'll notice the lead unit's headlight is between the numberboards.
Both of those SF trains are mine, while that WP freight belongs to Dan Webb.
Here is one of my favorite scenes from the summit of Wolf Mountain:
Please show me another interesting or favorite scene.
