Show me more open loads, please. Wayne

From the large to the small. A pair of HOn30 SRRL flats. One with a crate load and the other with a tractor and a seed drill. The seed drill was too wide for the car and had to be partially dismantled.

More open car loads

Thanks for your comment, Ed.

It's my opinion that the to-do involving lead was, in some cases, overblown - how many kids are going to be gnawing on a real overhead crane?

I'm modelling the late '30s, when lead paint was used almost everywhere.  Wink
While I don't use lead paint, I do use lead to add weight to my locomotives and rolling stock, and a little common sense in handling it makes its use safe.

Wayne,

I admire your choice of using the "red lead" primer color on those fabrications. Many folks these days forget that red lead was the original corrosion inhibitor.

Lets see more freight/scrap loads.

.

This is one of my favorite loads. It is just a stock Chooch load of large industrial tires that I repainted. I really like the way it turned out. The gondola is a Roundhouse model that was reworked with grab irons, new stirrups, and Kadee trucks (of course).

I found this boxcar at the Dunnville team track, but nobody was around for me to ask if the car is half-full or half-empty...

More loaded trains or cars, please.

Please show another train either crossing itself or one with a pusher.  One point for each, two points for both.

Luckily it's coupled to a loaded hopper.

How does this one work? It is also a recycled image from the great SGRR train chase from a few weeks ago.

Show me another bridge over the railroad tracks please.

Here's Grand Valley Mogul 34, on a short passenger train, and just about to cross Negro Creek...

Many railfans are unaware of this creek or of the short concrete span over it, as the area is surrounded by trees and not readily accessible.

More trains with bridges!

In evening sunlight — with the High Dome's flood lights already lit — The Capitol passes over a valley on a high, steel viaduct.

Bridges are nice to look at, let's see more!

I think this is the only bridge shot I have, Alco Centuries with an ore train!

More trains with bridges!

Rule 1: This is my railroad.

Rule 2: I make the rules.

Rule 3: Illuminating discussion of prototype history, equipment and operating practices is always welcome, but in the event of visitor-perceived anacronisms, detail descrepancies or operating errors, consult RULE 1!
