I have some boxcars years ago i weathered with oil based artist paint.I want to back date these cars so they look newer whats the best way to remove some weathering?

What did You use to clean the brushes with? Mineral spirits? If so...that should work...just don't leave it on a long time.....do not soak. Try a test area first with a cotton swab. You could also use denatured alcohol, the Marine stove fuel kind, again do not soak....will not harm most plastic's.....use it a lot to strip paint from model vehicles some I did soak...but not over-nite.
