As promised last year I'm presenting now the S-motorcar from the
NMVB (Nationale Maatschappij van Buurtspoorwegen) out of Belgium.
Overthere people called this company "De Boerentram". You can
translate this in "The farmers tram", because it made
many connections between the big cities and the little villages in
the country.
The different lines fitted as an interurban excellent into the
landscape.
The presented S- motorcar was built in 1953. This kind of cars did
their duty untill the 80's.
The brass model itself is a fine piece of craftsmanship. Showing it
in every little detail.
The pantograph is built like the original.
Because of its narrow-gauge it is restricted to H0m track.
In reality raised also a narrow-gauge of 1000mm.
Its driving-capacity could not be tested till now by myselve,
because of its different gauge in respect to that of mine (=H0).
Placed in the diorama, I tried to show a little bit of the Belgian
sphere.
Please get in and surround yourselves.
