Not long ago, I viewed a video of Corey Grivno demonstrating how to renumber a locomotive. He removed the old decal and applied a new one. I'm wanting to do that with a locomotive I just got, but I can't find Corey's video. Any ideas?
Thanks,

Welcome to the forums.
If it was in one of the "Cody's Office" series, go to VIDEOS on the black line above, click on Cody's Office, then Episode Index.
I've never used it, but I hope it helpes.
Good luck,
Richard
Richard,
I appreciate the quick response. Unfortunately, I'm still not finding the video. By the way, my apologies to Cody--I wrote "Corey," but I should have known how to spell his name. I enjoy his work very much and watch all of his videos.
I don't think the video is one of the Cody's Office series--he doesn't go into much detail in that series. He introduces new products and answers a few questions. It might have been in his Cody's Workshop series, but I didn't find it.
I did quite a bit of searching, without any luck. Maybe Cody can help find it. This was not long ago. By the way, it was not the series he did on painting an EMD GP9 for the WSS project railroad. In that series, he completely stripped the loco of paint and repainted it.
The video I'm thinking of showed how to remove the number decal(s) and put new ones on. That's exactly what I want to do--I have an SP PA1/PB1 pair with incorrect numbers. The A unit is numbered 6101, which was never used on SP; it was sent to T&NO, where it got a new number. The B unit has no number--which actually may be correct. I want to change the A unit to 6138, which would be correct.

Hi Jim!
Welcome to the forums!
I couldn't find Cody's video but I did find one on You-Tube that I believe uses a similar method:

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!

I assume this is the Cody video you are refereing to Dave.

That would be it! Thanks CG.
I'm not very good with searches. Could you explain how you found the video?
OK, and here's another one.

I just looked at the Modeling Tips video list and the Cody's Office list. On each one I clicked on the most granular listing detail that they offered. In the case of Cody's Office, it is the breakdown by year.
For each year, I did a text search for "remove" using my browser's find/search function (under edit). I then looked at each entry with remove in its body until I found one with lettering or numbers in it.
It went pretty quickly.

Thanks for that! I would have never figured out how to do that on my own.
Regards,
Thanks, Dave and CG,
The one video was Cody Grivno showing how to remove decals from freight cars. Obviously, the same technique would work on a locomotive. That video was made in 2008 or 2009, so it's not the one I saw a week or two ago, but it'll do.
The other video (youtube) was even more helpful because it showed not only how to remove the old decals but also how to apply new ones.
Thanks for the help.
