Show Me Something: December, 2016
Posted by gmpullman on Friday, December 2, 2016 4:01 AM

Here's the place to showcase photos of your layout or model building.

Just submit a photo of a model that fits the theme of the requested subject matter. Then you can make a request of your own for someone else to "Show Me".

The last request in November's thread was for more passenger dome cars.

http://cs.trains.com/mrr/f/88/t/259324.aspx

Here's a few domes that have arrived in Union Station: Seven to be exact!

Something a bit different. This is a study I did some time ago comparing using yellowglow LEDs to represent the incandesent lights in older heavyweight passenger cars vs. blue-white LEDs to represent the fluroescent lights in late 40s-50s lightweight passenger cars. Both using Miniatronics lighting modules

Grampy's Trains: I love the angle of that photo, and being in black and white enhances its atmosphere very well!

Looks like no helpers available.

Pictured is one of my favorite persons. He has made his appearance on a lot of layouts. I nicked named him Mr. Portly. The last time I bought a dress suit I asked the clerk for a size 48 coat. He said that is going to be to be too big for you, I'll get you a 46. I told him it would never fit.

When I put it on I was amzed as to how well if fit. I asked the clerk how this was possible. He said it was especially cut for a portly gentleman. Gee, portly sounded so good.

Please show me some of your people'

During one of several visits to the U.S., Sir Winston Churchill occupies the platform of the President's car Ferdinand Magellan, while enroute to the President's home in Hyde Park, N.Y.. Also along was his wife, Clementine. Mrs. Roosevelt is speaking to the porter and Mr. Roosevelt seems to be more interested in the NYC Mohawk on the next track.
