Left car, two windows plus annunciator panel.  Bottom right corner, "Lexington Av. Local."  Looks awfully familiar - I rode the prototype regularly while a student at Bronx Science.

I'm with Ulrich.  Paw dangling out from under the platform edge.

I have to hand it to Lion, the resolution of his picture is very good!  I blew it up by X20 and I agree with Ulrich and Chuck, the Lion’s paw is hanging down under the platform.

Hey Tomikawa, when were you at Bronx Science? I was there from 1967 to 1970. The Pelham Bay Line (#6) was the closest line to my house, but I took the bus to school. I did enjoy looking at the IND yards when I had the chance.

I was there (the old building) from '51 to '55.  Took the bus from Pelham Bay Station in the morning, usually (but not always) rode the subway home by way of the station closest to the home of the young lady I was dating (and all over elsewhere - I believe that I rode every line I could access without using another fare.)

During my sophomore year I acquired the nickname Tokyo Joe because of my interest in the Imperial Japanese Navy.  Ten years later I was in Japan and married to the Japanese lady who got me pointed at modeling the JNR - and still shares my life.

The Were LifeLike, before Walthers bought them out. The entire first run was commisioned by Trainworld, and were only available there. Now they are no longer available.

I have been waiting for my pre-order of MTH subway cars. Somebody go and wake up Mike or the LION may have him over for LUNCH.

Cool photos! I sure wish I had a setup like that.

Is your layout based on the 1950's or 1960's?

Layout is based on The R-17 (which is the only sort of cars I can buy). Every thing else is what it is, certainly the Coney Island train shed is later than that, as are the murals in the Courtland Street Station.

LION not worry about details.

If you mean the yellow thing from last wednesday, it is a snow melter. It uses a small jet engine, same idea as the NASCAR jet dryers for wet race tracks

Boy, sneaky Lion took a dust bath to lighten his fur first on that one!

No wonder Lion gets some tasty wildebeasties to eat, him getting good at hiding in plain sight!

Him is a little 6 pixel LION and he is on the HO scale subway map out towards the end of the Queensboro line. He is the only opject that is really in focus on that map, but you will need to click on the photo to open a full size image and even then you will need your Optivisor.
