Sometimes a snip of fuzz is just a snip of fuzz.
Even blowing up the picture, I still can't see the LION.

Hey Tomikawa, when were you at Bronx Science? I was there from 1967 to 1970. The Pelham Bay Line (#6) was the closest line to my house, but I took the bus to school. I did enjoy looking at the IND yards when I had the chance.

Lion must dust before hiding lion. No camouflage allowed, him is cheating.

I was there (the old building) from '51 to '55. Took the bus from Pelham Bay Station in the morning, usually (but not always) rode the subway home by way of the station closest to the home of the young lady I was dating (and all over elsewhere - I believe that I rode every line I could access without using another fare.)
During my sophomore year I acquired the nickname Tokyo Joe because of my interest in the Imperial Japanese Navy. Ten years later I was in Japan and married to the Japanese lady who got me pointed at modeling the JNR - and still shares my life.

This photo was taken just after i painted passenger cars to match the LIRR and just before I converted the layout to 100% subway service.
That's an easy one Lion....He's sitting on the side of the roof, to the left of the EXP sign.
Take Care!

So, does he get off at Hunts Point, Parkchester or somewhere beyond? Pelham Bay Park is Out There (and two short blocks from my former home - the park, not the station.)

Lion was being easy on us for this one, and no dust bunnies looking like more fierce critters to confuse us!
I have been to the Big Apple a couple of times in my life. Had I known that there so many lions roaming the tracks of town I probably would not have gone there!
Are those subway cars in the photos Walthers R17's ?
The Were LifeLike, before Walthers bought them out. The entire first run was commisioned by Trainworld, and were only available there. Now they are no longer available.
I have been waiting for my pre-order of MTH subway cars. Somebody go and wake up Mike or the LION may have him over for LUNCH.
Yes I remember having to go into enemy territory (Borough where Brooklyn Cyclones Arch enemy of Staten Island Yankees) dwell to pick up my set.
