I got some #148 whiskers and 242 snap together boxes,OMG. What a defference.

I just upgraded 5 cars, no lost parts, no cussing, enjoyable work.

Gotta love those 148s..They're easy to install in any car or locomotive that accepts the old #5. As I mention else where the 148 is my standard coupler. Even though they work quite well in a BB locomotive coupler box I still prefer to use the 148 box..

I completely agree. I use the #148s almost exclusively. They work well with virtually everything on the market.
