I can't find anything about it in the help section, and I seem to have problems doing it, so, just how do you add a quote from another post in a reply? I use FireFox, I have some trouble with things on here, such as none of the drop-down boxes work, and the sign in page is completely different than IE.
Thanks !
Mike.

GO to the post that you want to quote and hit "reply". Then you can hit "Add Quote to Your Post" to quote the whole thing or highlight the part you want to quote and hit the "Add Quote to Your Post". You can then hit enter to space down and begin adding your post. When done submit your reply. I've used this method in both Firefox and Chrome and now in Opera.

OK, thanks Joe, here goes!
Edit: Didn't work. Must be something on my end.
Mike,
Be sure and hit "reply", not "quick reply".
You should then get a screen that shows the text of whomever you clicked on, plus a button that says "add quote", or similar.
After you click, the quote should then appear in the posting area, and you can edit it or add to it.

Edit: OK, it works using IE. Thanks Joe, and Ed. I guess it's Fire Fox related.
mbinsewiOK, this time I'll try it using IE Mike. Edit: OK, it works using IE. Thanks Joe, and Ed. I guess it's Fire Fox related.
I use Firefox. Sometimes the forum quote feature works for me; sometimes it doesn't. So, it's a forum issue rather than a Firefox issue. I occasionally run into similar problems when attempting to post links on the forum.
For the times the quoting button doesn't work, there is a work-around. Below I'll use my user name as an example:
Here's what the sequence looks like using parentheses:
(quote user="tstage")Message I want to quote(/quote)
Here's what it looks like when I replace the above parentheses with brackets:
tstageMessage I want to quote
Hope that helps...

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
Thanks Tom.
