"Model Power" brand all metal engines and cars
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, November 27, 2004 4:20 PM
Does anyone have any experience with these engines and/or cars? I bought a set (HO) that came with two diesel engines and 6 cars. The engines (when run using just one) don't seem to have enough power to run these all metal cars and I hooked up a 2-8-0 steam engine I have and it didn't hardly go at all (not all metal).

I guess my question is...Is there anything I can do to increase my power out of these engines or is there another engine out there that has more power? Thanks for helping out a newb!

Are you saying you have three engines which do not seem to have enough power to pull a train? If so, I think the problem is likely not the locomotives, but in the electrical connections, wire, or your power pack. Make sure all track connections are solid and connections between pieces of track O.K. If appears good, try a different power pack.

Under rated power pack, poor loco electrical power pick ups due to oxidation degragation if a used set.
