N Scale Custom Loco Painting
Posted by JERRY PAAUWE III on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 2:43 AM

I've done online searching in hopes of finding a reputable source who will paint N-Scale Locos in a custom scheme. There appear to be a few sites but I've found it hard to determine if these guys are still active in painting.

I'm working on a Prototypical-Freelance version of the Pere Marquette Railroad had it stayed alive as an independant. It merged with the C&O in 1947, but in my scenerio (modeling the late 80s) that never happened and it operated succesfully by mining sand along the Lake michigan shoreline, and controling a major route from Detroit to Grand Rapids and then South to Chicago. The deisel scheme of the locos would be basic, Black with white PMRR on the side...and diagonal white stripes along the rear....I'm thinking yellow handrails in back and front as well. Unfortunately Painting these locos is not my strong point so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be greatful.

Jerry there is a person that Fiffer Hobby uses in New Mexico.  You can find out who it is through them.  I have no idea about custom jobs or quality of work but they have advertised it at times.   Doug
