Walthers new Signal Tower
Posted by danmerkel on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 7:35 PM

Does anyone know if the new Walthers #810 Trackside Signal Tower is available as a kit?  I think it is sold under the Trainline line.

Thanks!

Dan,

Looks like it's only pre-assembled. They have larger signal towers in the cornerstone line of kits which go together fairly easy. I think they have 3 types of towers.

I've built several of these and they turn out very well.

For $9. more you can get a few more buildings and a speeder!

Both are in stock and on sale.

Dan,

Except for some minor modifications, that's pretty much the same interlocking tower they sold as a kit 10+ years ago.

If you are wanting a kit, American Model Builders (AMB) has a very nice wood laser interlocking tower:

They also offer larger versions of interlocking towers and yard offices, as well as an kit for including armstrong levers inside your tower:

I enjoy the AMB kits because I can position the windows open, shut, or anywhere in between.

Guys, thanks, but I'm not looking for a similar tower. I just was wondering if that one was available as a kit so that I could more easily paint it myself.
