Steve's Depot

Hello to the forum.  New poster here.  I'd like to find out if anyone knows the status of Steve's Depot in Burlington, MA.  I ordered some items from his website almost a month ago.  I received an order confirmation by email, but nothing since.  My credit card has not been charged and I have not received the items.  I have left telepone messages and sent email, but have not received any response.  Is he still in business?  Thanks.

Hi, gatordome and

Welcome

I don't have any personal dealings with Steve's but it looks like the website is up to date but I found this notice:

Hi Folks,

Our shopping cart server recently underwent routine maintenance which now seems to prevent orders from being placed.

We are working with the shopping cart service provider to rectify the issue as quickly as possible.

This service issue has delayed other announcements that will be posted here as soon as orders can again be placed.

Please keep checking in!

The rumor going around here was that he's out of business and is now working a non-hobby job.  He was supposed to be at the South Shore Model Railway Club's Fall Show at the end of October but he wasn't.  There have also been several club members who had placed orders back in September but have yet to receive anything with no answers to phone calls or e-mails.

Again, this is only a rumor that he's out of business, not a confirmed fact.

First of all, welcome aboard!  Welcome

Steve's Depot has never been a brick-and-mortar shop.  It's strictly on-line sales and train shows.

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
