Branchline Trains HO Scale, Paired-Window Coach Kit

I know that these kits are long out of production and that Atlas is producing these cars RTR in various roadnames, but I'm looking for the kits for kit-bashing potentional. I won't know if they'll work until I get my hands on one. Single-windowed kits are out there including on Ebay but I'm not seeing the paired-window kits. Has anyone seen them (in any roadname) collecting dust on a shelf?

Victor,

I have been after more of the paired window coach kits and it is hit or miss on eBay.  Plus usually, when they do show up, the prices are way over inflated.

As you may know, the paired window was developed by BL following C&O plans, but plenty of other roads used this configuration.

There a way to 'skin the cat' if you will (sorry Chessie). Atlas sells many parts for the BL kits, and I just looked and the paired window sides are available at a very reasonable (read cheap) price.  They also offer many other BL parts to make a whole car.  Or as I'm doing, I will replace the sides on my single window kits to get more paired window cars.

Here is the trick.  It is impossible to find these parts on the Atlas website unless you know how to search for them.  Go to the search box and type in BL151012 and you will be taken to the paired window sides.  To see other parts you'll need to use the scroll left or right arrows.  Typing in BL parts in the search box comes up with zero, so you'll have to do it this way.

Talk about buried information in cyberspace!

I have also called Atlas to get the parts I needed.

Anyway, happy kit bashing.

Ok, now I know this is off topic, but if anyone wants some really cheap Branchline passenger car sleeper kits, I bought some here:

Thanks on the tip for the parts Joel. I'll look into that.

There must've been considerable backstock of the Pullman (not coach) kits from the acquisition of Branchline by Atlas, as Atlas featured quite a few of the Pullmans (not coaches) in its Thanksgiving-week Cornucopia sale (now expired) at about $14 a pop.  I picked up another 15 or so.  Love the kit -- will just have to live long enough to finish them all.

Yeah, these kits are great, but experience is needed to get them nicely built.  I've put together 10 so far last count to outfit The George and The Sportman on my 1949 C&O.

The link that was posted above has a ton of Pullman sleepers in various configurations in different road names for $9.99 each--WOW--Thanks for the link Trainman440!  I need a few 10-1-2 Pullmans to complete The Sportsman and now know where to get them when the time comes.
