G Paine

Time to start a new one; Show me the type of locomotive that you have the most of

I haven’t viewed one of the Show Me Something threads before so if I screw up let me know.  George ask for pictures of the most type of locomotives owned by us.  I’m a Cab Forward freak so there they come.

This is a picture of several shells during my restoral process.

I have a total of 13 Rivarossi locomotives, I bought one new Rivarossi the rest are restored clunkers.  I restored one to original specs the rest are restored and have a lot of Mel improvements.  All but the one have been re-motored, some with Faulhaber 2224SR motors, some have a single Canon EN22 and several have dual Canon EN22 motors.  All have illuminated number boards and Cal-Scale Marker lights drilled out and fitted with 1mm micro bulbs. Ten have 8 to 10 ounces of #8 bird shot for added weight and traction.  All are wired for DCC operation, I have two spare SP oil tenders with SoundTraxx Cab Forward sound decoders.

All 13 run very good after many hours of TLC.  One with a Faulhaber 2224SR has Bulfrog Snot on the insolated drivers (8 wheels) and it will pull the paint off the walls.

Hi Mel!  yep you showed us what was asked for.  Now you get to pick the next thing to show!  Guess we should go back to putting the "rules" for the thread at the beginning of the new thread every month.

So what do you want to see, Mel?

OK, how about unusual vehicles.  This is my 1951 Cushman Mail Delivery three wheeler with a 1mm micro bulb head light.  The Mailman is stuffing a mailbox.

Mel asked to see an unusual vehicle. I guess this baggage cart mule would count?

Show me an emergency vehicle.

I needed a deep background structure for Central St area on my layout. It needed to look like a number of city buildings, have the idea of a street down the middle and have space undeneath to hide my main line as it approached a scenic divider. This is how it looked in almost done condition.

And the finished structure in place with some added details

The mainline seems to lack scenery details and ballast.  I'll need to get the board of directors busy on their priorities.

More mainline views, please.

From a post from Kbkchoock in Show me something - October 2013

The Show me Rules!!

In this thread a person asks to see something, related to model railroading of course, and the first person to respond by posting a picture that contains what the person asks for then immediately says "Show Me Something"..................

That person can ask to see, for example, a certain color.. or a shape such as something round or square. They could ask to see something patriotic, or something angry or happy or sad. They may ask to see something educational or inspiring or scary. The request should be one word, such as "Show Me Something Humorous"

Participants in the thread should give others a chance to join in. For instance, let several requests/replies go by before jumping back in after you've participated UNLESS the thread drops off the first or second page and you'd like to bring it back. In that case it would be fine to answer again.

Please..., NO LINKS to a picture on another website somewhere. The answer MUST be posted in your reply. If a participant does that it should be ignored and another person can reply.

There may be times when two or more people reply at the same time. Any reply should be done to the FIRST person.
