Gooooood Morning!!! Errrr…., evening.

NothingSurprise? You haven’t ran out of food since… OH Hey! Barry’s back!!

Barry- So sorry to hear about Spring.

Glass of DR pepper please. Thanks

Ooo! MRR pictures!! And good ones too!! (all MRR pics are good if you ask me). Frank, That blue White (looks like to be) in the closeup is very impressive! Especially considering the scale.

As always Garry, I enjoy your pics and your modelling is awesome as well.

DerJohn!! Welcome back my friend!!

And a big Welcome to the new folks! Especially when you show up with pictures of some fantastic modelling.

Todd's like pictures.

Just upgraded to Windows 10. I hope all those blasted free upgrade popups will stop now. So far everything still works fine with no glitches. That’s better than I can say for the outside Christmas lights. Clark Griswald had an easier time. “No they aren’t twinkling Art, and thanks for noticing”. Also… a squirrel or twelve stole the bags from two bags of charcoal. Yup. Left the charcoal all over the shelf and floor, just took the bags. Nest is not in the shed so who knows where they set up house. They did chew a hole in the roof so I’m not real happy with squirrels right now.

Welp, like I said, just stopped in to see if this new Edge browser works with the site and, it seems to fine. Best get up to the restaurant and grab a bite to eat.

I truly just skimmed so I hope I didn’t miss anything. If I did, I do apologize.

Ya’ll have a good day, ya hear!!!!

 Evening Dinners

Flo, Beer Pleases. Why yes I did work with Jerry, how did you know? Whistling Smile, Wink & Grin

Work Front I now think of Jerry like a Rock with a few cracks in it in a bucket of water! While a little water will get in the cracks, nothing really soaks in! Bang Head I will keep trying but I really don't see any hope. Jerry has had a head concussion and is still seeing a Dr about it. I do not have any details and neither did Paul or Marvin when they hired him. Could this be the problem with him? It only came up when he said he needs my days off, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Do I think he has all wise been a rock in water? I really don't think so. He worked as a factory rep in heating and AC company for 20 years. It would be hard for me to belive if he was all wise like this he could have kept the same job for 20 years! Either way it does not help me, and I am now starting to get short with him when he forgets something I talked to him about 15 minutes to a day ago about!

Heartland Division CB&Q
Ken ... I can't figure out why the company chooses schmucks to work with you. There are many good people looking for jobs,

Garry Drunk Dave was a very good employee for years! It was Drinks that turned him into a idot! Reason they cannoy hire good people? Laugh To be honest, it is not a good job and Marvin knows it! Only reason I took this job where.

1 I had to get away from NTB, they put me in the Hospital with the foot problem.

2 I had made between $40,000 and $52,000 a year with a good mattress companys.

When I got the job, I was stunned my base was only $400.00 a week. (been cut to $360.00) Last mattress store I ran was $500.00 a week and that was 3 years earlier. But I hated working for NTB so I took it.

I am beat, so I will stop where I am.

Best wishes for Ulrich for what ever reason we have not heard from him.

HERE IS THE LION

THERE is the platter full of STICKY BUNS!

Nuts and Raisins on the left; Maple and Walunt in the middle, and Cherries and Cranberries on the Right. The Plain ones are on the side table, and Bear Claws are on the back table, only problem is they are still attached to the bear, so proceed at your own risk

Evidently, people filled up on sticky buns, and they were too full to type.

I hope each of you are having a nice Sunday.

Well the past couple of days have been fraught with frustration. The worst was my new MRR extension. I thought I had been meticulous but I am finding I wasn't. First, as I mentioned earlier, there was the missing drill outs for the turnout control rods. Friday night I discovered the next problem, also turnout related. For some stupid reason, I only used isulated joiners on one leg each of five turnout. Needless to say, I have shorts all over the place. I am not about to pull up all of the track to install the insulated joiners, so I am going to have to cut some gaps. I tried this once before, using a Dremel, and was not too pleased with the results, thus the use of insulated joiners. My gaps were larger than I had hoped, as I am not very steady with the Dremel. Oh well, I figure I will practice on some scrap track and see if I can improve my skills.

However, things may be looking up. I just spell "meticulous" correctly on my first try.

Well, no.  Monks do not exchange presents for Christmas. At least not *these* monks.

However, I did use come vacation money to pre-order some stuff at Trainworld, and those are expected to ship around Jan 2nd or so.

sorry I wasn't in this Am...we went EARLY to LOWES and spent $730 like we had it to spend...a new shorter narrower vanity for the bath instead of the monstrosity they have in there {too big by a long shot!}, a new vanity light, a new ccabinet for the kitchen, two new ceiling lights to replace teh old 1940s relics, new LR curtains/drapes, new rod for there, new tie backs for the curtains, etc. MOH kept adding things, but is picky on decor. so, as long as MOH works for the $$$, I am willing to spend it!

Moh thinking may have a kidney stone again..UGH! last time MOH was out of wrok for 1.5 weeks.

well, the marriage counselor thinks "you are doing great, do we cut sessions down?"...i don't know, with teh hosue everything seesm to be fine. but what happens AFTER The move is completed? and MOh is up to old tricks again? dunno we will see...maybe I should join LION at the monestery...Whistling

well, off to dinner soon, and MORE PACKING!

soory but I will get a word of the day out tomorrow..looks skimpy in the diner anyway...so no one will miss it..

 Eveing Dinners

 Flo, Beer Please.

Work Front I have found a way I can stand Jeery! Don't ask him questions he should know the answer to! Smile, Wink & Grin He has a long way to go and I still think he will cause me problems, OK, I know he will. After I got past the fact he cannot remeber things I tell him, he is OK to be around. Jerry did show some salesman ship today! I told him so as well, it was the first time I have seen any. It was a no win situation, customer wanted to match the color of her coffee table and end tables with a wood futon frame but had no color sample to use. But, he did try to close the sale! Yes

Friday night I discovered the next problem, also turnout related. For some stupid reason, I only used isulated joiners on one leg each of five turnout.

I have not laied any rails for years now, I have forgot about isulated rail joiners? If I ever feel like I can keep the house and build a new layout I need to brush up.

Galaxy I remember when I first bought this house, I enjoyed buying things for it!

By the way Galaxy, is there anyway you can call Ulrich or Petra? I am really worried about his heart!

Ray: Saw the article, like how that show went!!!

The RIT Show is a real class act every year.  This group of young people who put on the show (The RIT Model Railroad Club) really have their act together.  They get a bunch of graduates of RIT who are past members to come back and help.  A lot of them are also folks that are members and friends of mine from the R&GV RR museum so it is "Old Home Week", so to speak.  What I love about the show is the amount of clubs participating and running trains they have set up.  They have a Thomas Corner for the little kids and everything from "N" scale to Garden Layouts up and running as well as a lot of venders.  I have watched kids follow a train around the loop for over a half hour at a time....  Don't tell me kids don't like trains!!!!  We had a lot of people stop and ask about the NMRA this weekend.  Many are getting back into the hobby or just starting out.  Our stack of handouts got a lot smaller.........

Have most of the stuff put away from the show and have just been "chilling out" much of the evening.  Just about time to head to bed...  See you all tomorrow!

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, I'll have a short stack of Blueberry Pancakes with real NYS Maple Syrup and a pot of Seneca Lake Dark Roast Coffee to keep my R&GV RR Mug Filled for the rest of the morning...  Please and Thank You Ma'am!

Brother Elias, what a beautiful kitty cat!  Although it looks like he/she is thinking how tasty you might be for a snack!!!  My two felids are cuddled together on the dining room floor right in front of a heat outlet...  they miss the wood stove!

Oh, forgot to put in the weather for here in the Finger Lakes Region....  The all time record high for this date here was set in 1991.  It was 58°F that day, and the record low was -1*F in 1989.  It is currenly 62°F outside and will peak later this afternoon at 63°F.  Low tonight will be 47°F.  We have yet to see any snow accumulation this December.  Will get some nice warm rain this evening maybe.

Gotta get some w*rk done around here!  Catch you all later.

Guess it is a little late for lunch, but, Chloe, be so kind as to find for me a double Denver with home fries and a double RBF. Please and thanks.

Angelo, sure hope it gets better for you real quick.

Br. Elias, get your head out of there.

Garry,  I am waiting to see a beautiful finished cattle trailer, hows that coming?

Ray, What a great picture.  It is funny the frist thing that went through my mind too was the connection Garry made to Tony the Tiger.  Or do you have a tiger in your tank of the PIP.

Galaxy,  Glad to hear the move has gone fairly smooth to this point and that you are enjoying "Dolling up the place " to suit you folks.  Don't get in to deep, some things can wait, it doesn't all have to be all right and pretty the first couple of months.

I'm on my way down to the train room after about a week of being to busy to get there to do some sanding (Smoothing) of the pavement laid under the elevated station. will have to carve out the flangeways as the size of it was to large and it set up on me. So that will take more work. Then cut some styrene to fill in around some frogs located there as well.

Would like to have the station back in place before Christmas for the few visitors we get.

Hope the weather is kind to you all as we approach the Christmas travelling season.  Drive defensivly as that other Guy might be on a different trip (HIGH) and unfortunatly they are everywhere.

Sure hope our German Buddy is alright.  Please check in Ulrich !!!!

Jeff  It is one year since we enjoyed the presence of your company, we have tried to keep your spirit alive here, but we all truly miss you.  Continue to rest in peace my Brother.

Johnboy and Garry, the Tiger mascot's name is RITchie...

Oh, no 'Tiger' in the PiP tank, but lots of electrons in the Battery....  At RIT I noticed they have now installed charging stations in the parking lot by the Field House where the show is held.  Saturday Morning I noticed there were a couple cars there and one of them was a VOLT.  On Sunday I drove in and parked thinking I might come out early afternoon and top off the battery and I noticed the same VOLT was plugging in.  Turns out I know the owner of it.  He is an officer in one of the clubs that was at the show.  We had a great talk about our cars.  His VOLT is 4 years old and is #235 I think he said.  He loves it!  Turns out, although the charge is free at this point at RIT, the chargers are put in by ChargePoint and you either have to have a ChargePoint Card or call a # on the charger and have them turn it on....  The ones over the other side are just open chargers.  I decided not to go through the calling stuff (being deaf makes talking with people I don't know on a cell phone darn near impossible) and just drove home on Petrol and the few miles I had left of EV...

Hey Bill: Your Tardis signoff reminded me of the closing scenes of the "Muppet Christmas Carol" which was on our TV last night. The Christmas Day Feast at the Cratchets has an amazing expanding dining table and kitchen worthy of the "larger inside than out" Tardis. LOL

CN Charlie that's just the quality of info I was after. In the mean time SWMBO says that looking ahead, we should plan a layout which is easy to either move or dismantle. (The Maritime Trunk took several months to deconstruct - and rehabilitae the train room to a bedroom- before we sold the house; and she doesn't want a repeat.) So, I'm probably looking at a door or two instead of the dogbone. Could you PM me a track plan? Please and Thank you.

Happy Monday!

My first order of business was a visit to the vampire to have some blood drawn for my doctor visit on Thursday.  Painless, other than enduring the television in the waiting room.  I think they ran about 10 minutes of commercials and cop show ads.  When the program finally came on, it was one of those "ladies' shows" full of B-list celebrities.  I left and sat in the hall until my name was called.  Well, at least this time I didn't have blood dripping down my arm on the way home.

Watching football again got me back to modeling.  Not much, but I needed to cut some cardstock to shape to line the interior walls of buildings to prevent the interior lighting from glowing through.

I'll be at my favorite cafe/bar tonight listening to old time rock 'n' roll.  I've seen this group (2 guys) often enough that we're on a first name basis and we chat between sets.

After working on the wiring under my new layout extension, I have a much greater appreciation for the effort required to paint the Sistine Chapel. My arms need a break after just a few minutes.
