As I dig through my magazine library I often wonder if there is an index that covers all the rail enthusists publications? It would be great to know every model and prototype magazine that carried a piece on, lets say, The Ashley Drew and Northern? Any one know of such?

A decade ago one did exist, and it worked very well. It was all done by one individual and covered nearly every model related pubulication.
But, then Model Railroader took it over, they took it down when the software became obsolete, they re-did it, not as effective to search as the old version, not sure if what remains of it are still on this site?

PS - found it, go to the tab at he top of the page - "resources", then to "magazine index".
I notice they haven't updated the Rail Model Craftsman index since 2010.Most defunct magazines like Model Railroading and Railmodel Journal should be complete, they stopped publication by 2008.
