I have a local flea market coming up in 2 weeks and need to pick up EZ track for a Christmas temporary oval. How many and what type of pieces would be needed for a 3 ft radius oval with about 3 ft of straight track on each side of the curves. I am not familiar with EZ track, but this may be a quick and stable way to set up a temporary holiday train layout.

Go to the bachmanntrains.com website and search the E-Z track section. One you get to the product listings, they have a description of the pieces. For example, http://shop.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=879_604_782_783&products_id=2456 should take you to the code 100 18 inch radius section. It says that 4 pieces make up 120 degrees (1/3) of a 36 diameter circle.
E Z Track is also available in 3ft. sections.

Just be glad you don't have to press "2" for English.

Do you want a 3' radius or a 3' diameter? A 3' radius will give you a 6'wide track plan. If you want a 3' diameter, you would need 12pc of 18 inch radius curves and 6pc of 9 inch straights. One of the pieces of track should be a terminal track so you can plug in the wiring. Although there are ways around that.
Sorry-senior moment- meant 3 foot diameter. Is there any EZ track planning tool to use that is online?

Do not know of any online site for EZ Track.
At the Bachmann forums some use Anyrail. Might be over kill.
The OP can also join the Bachmann forums. Very easy to do. Migfht get a quicker answer. Many users of EZ Track there including some Bachmann reps.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
Assuming HO gauge track
The following will make a 38" x 65" oval that easy fits in 4' x 6' area

If all that is required is some sort of oval, it is not clear to me why any sort of track planning program is required. As I mentioned above, the bachmanntrains.com website, in the EZ Track section, seems to give all the required dimensions.
They show curved sections ranging from 15 inch radius up to 35.5 inch radius.
