This week I started my long-awaited build of the second incarnation of Francisquito Valley Railway. Five bench frames built with 1x4" lumber and a 1/2" plywood top found their homes on wall mounted 2x3s. Two of them had a grade in the plywood (pic 3) so that the yard could be tucked under a mainline, a task quite difficult to do for me. So far everything checks out.
My son and I had been working on a 30"R curved trestle for a long time during our remodel (responsible for the planned demise of FVR 1.0), so that's the piece that went up first.
