I am looking for HO scale models of CWRR stock numbers 684, 819, 817, and 519. I worked for Weyhauser between 1977 and 1984. Started as a brakeman on 684 in 1982, then moving to the 819/817. Being young I didn't realize the importance in history they played and now that I am older I wish I had taken a picture or two at least. Can anyone help me? Perhapos point me in the direction of a decal set for HO that maybe I can have a model built for me.
First off.. I think you're going to find that modeling such a specific short line, you'll either have to custom print your own decals, or find someone that does. And as far as specific rolling stock, your best bets are going to be kitbashing a model based on what photographs you can find. As a start, I Googled and clicked on "images" and came up with Chehalis Western RR.

I found the pictures which brought back memories. My caboose (crummy) never got that dirty though. Twice a year I would go to Western Junction and steam clean it. Every Friday I would wash and wax the floor.
I was laid off in June 1984, went to school, got a job with Boeing, transferred to Alabama in '87, then here in Texas in '89. Whenever I went home I would always visit my engineer, Ernie Kell. I just wish I'd have gotten pictures of those days.
I'm not a model builder, so everything I would have to have done by someone who was good at it and knew where to acquire the things like decals. I've found N-scale decals but no HO. I also found the 684 (Alco 415C) is a bit pricey and hard to find. Everything would have to be as you say, "kitbashing", whic is a new term for me as I am not amodel railroader. I'm collecting items of every project I've ever worked on (CWRR, Navy Planes, Missile Defense, B2 Bomber, Space Shuttle, Space Station, Boeing CST) for my office.
I hope someone can help me.
