We'll get there sooner or later!
mlehmanI'm hoping that the Bear can stop in, but maybe they have him working this weekend.

This On30 pulpwood car started with a Bachmann 18' flat and a Mount Blue Models rack kit. I filled it with split firewood (almost 900 pieces!) destined for the boiler of the North Atkinson Paper Co's Shay.
Thanks as always to those who generate the WPF each week. It's inspiring to see the great examples of many skills and ideas.
I can report that a DPM cab company is substantially complete, getting roofing, windows and LED lighting today. It sits at its future location, but needs a sign, appropriate interior items. Has anyone made a garage lift? Seems like a relatively easy task.
The next structure to attack is an (opposite) UP station, at which point the grading can be finished up as to level, road entries and parking.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Heck, Garry even gave us a parade suitable for the holiday I'm hoping that the Bear can stop in, but maybe they have him working this weekend.
Figured I'd drop in a few more pics. The MOW crew stationed at Tefft has parked their equipment for the long weekend, although they're still on-call if needed.
Here's #3 with the morning train to Red Mountain at CHattanooga.
And a view of the RR dock side of several businesses in Red Mountain.

Mike, Thanks for the WPF kick-off, seeing your photos and vast supply of modeling energy is always an inspirational joy.
A stretch of paved road for the peloton is still in the future, until then some industrial area cyclocross practice will keep those legs strong.
Thanks to all, Happy 4th and "Viva le Tour"! Peter
Great stuff everybody.
Here's my Minitirx I1sa. I recently upgraded it to DCC with a Digitrax DZ123 decoder in the tender. The final touch wasa whie LED headlight. other than some light leakage from the smokbox, she's done.

Good morning Mike and the rest of the crew from sunny Northeast Ohio. Great pictures to start the weekend.
Managed to get some stuff off the workbench this week.
Got the Tichy Covered Hopper Conversion car painted and decaled this week. Car was painted with Model Masters Silver with a few drops of Green Paint along with Scalecoat II Reading Green for the extension, lettered with kit supplied decals. The Andersons purchased ex-Wabash Panel side hoppers, added an extension and canvas top for shipping grain from Maumee, OH to the export docks in Toledo, OH.
In the 1970's the Frisco rebuilt and modernized their 50's era PS1 boxcars by removing the roofwalk, lowering some ladders and repainting and renumbering the cars. This is an Intermountain 40' PS1 Boxcar kit, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Oddballs decals.
The Nickle Plate along with the C&O and Erie received some 1937 AAR Boxcars equiped with a Viking Roof. Luckily Des Plaines Hobbies had some Viking Roofs made which I purchased and applied to an IMWX 1937 AAR Boxcar Kit. Car is painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Microscale Decals.
Thanks for looking!

Last weekend I went to Tyrone, PA to catch some NS action. I even got to see a rare power move westbound!

I'll give kicking off WPF a try again (after checking carefully not to duplicate anyone else's work )
Got a few pics from hanging around Carbon Junction, just south of Durango, RR East. Here's the eastbound Houston-Portland Zephyr getting wound up for the run down to Grants and thence east.
Here a local on the narrowgauge main to Chama pass CJ Tower.
Later, we caught the eastbound New Mexico Express on its way to Santa Fe passing the tower, led by Alco DL-535E #60.
