I'm turning 28 next month. I model 1940s Union Pacific steam, but I also have some other one-off locos. Got back into the hobby a few years ago after being away from it for about 10 years or so.
I've now celebrated my 35 aniversary of turning 30!
I think the cut-off was to early in this question and really should have been 40 or younger.

Im under 30 in my mind !!!
Im 12 and love trains and model railroading.
I used to be under 30...back in the 70s. What a great time we had. Worked hard, played hard, danced a lot and chased girls...and rode my Harley everywhere. What was the question? My mind sort of drifted off for awhile...

I've seen tons of younger model railroaders on YouTube and Facebook, but its refreshing to know there is a group here on the MR forums that is in their 20s. That's why I started this thread- to get a sense of how there is still a younger generation who "plays with trains" instead of the other hobbies.
(My Model Railroad, My Rules)
These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway. As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).
Glad to see so many young guys and the young at heart. This year will be my 39th anniversary of turning 30. Wow time goes fast.
Still playing with my trains and building a smaller layout.
