Today's accomplishment--a shorter ride on my "errand" bike. It was good to get out and prove the body still works.

Of course, everybody has rough times in their lives. I find model rairloading is always good for sanity breaks to get your mind off of bad stuff. .... Also of course, it helps to keep your faith, but I will stop at that to avoid digressing into religion.

Galaxy, you're not alone.  My wife and I have not shared a bedroom for 10 years.  She insists on one of those "very firm" mattresses one step softer than the granite countertop in the kitchen, she tosses and turns all night and she snores.  As you might expect, other aspects of the relationship have faded, too, but after 39 years we're too much of a habit to break.

Well, MR.B, there is a HUGE difference between not sharing a bed due to desire for support level, or for snoring, than to seperate.

Maybe shee needs a CPAP machine. Gotta have good air while you sleep. I have never know my grandmother and grandfather to sleep in the same bed, though always in the same room. Mom and Dad, now 92, are as much in love now as 68 years ago. As for the LION, him is celibate, but has slept with the same stuffed bear for more than 20 years.

I'm sure that some doctor or another would have convinced her to try a CPAP already, if they thought if might do some good.  She will buy into every therapy that comes along.  A few years back, we were at the beach with a friend of hers, and the two ladies were talking about their wonderful vitamins and supplements, and how much more energy they had all day long, and, uh, how much trouble they had sleeping.  They failed to see the connection.

Brother, celibacy is more tolerable when it is a matter of choice, I suppose.

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, I'll have the #2 special, over easy on the eggs, bacon, home fries, and a double order of Sourdough toast to start the day.  Oh, put on a pot of Seneca Lake Blend Dark roast Organic Coffee for me please.  Yes, a large pot, I'm going to need it.  My R&GV RR Mug will do nicely...

As Barry would say, dark and gloomy here today.  Currently 39°F on its way up to 50°F later today.  Tomorrow calls for lots of rain...  Only good news on the home front is the contract is now signed and delivered to get the living room fixed.  Lots of water this morning in the basement.  That time of year and the ground is now thawing so the water is rerally coming in.  Most of the workshop area is wet and it is running into the new area of the train rooms to the drain in there.  There was a good reason the wood on the floor for the walls there is treated lumber!

Galaxy, sorry to hear of the continuing trouble in paradise for you folks.  Will keep you in my prayers...

Got a load of wash going down cellar and have 3 more to do today.  Also spending much time online trying to get some things accomnplished that we are way behind on for the convention today.

Catch you all later!

OK, so what subway does the Easter Bunny ride?  Rabbit Transit.

Good morning again.  And again, it's still in the 30s with overcast skies.  I'd certainly like to get out on my bicycle, too.  Doctor's orders, "Get more exercise!"  Skiing yesterday and hockey tonight, but the roads are dry and all I need is a bit more temperature.  OK, a lot more temperature.

207 on the scale.  I sometimes have reason to doubt its accuracy, but I've been consistently below 210 for a few weeks now.  I'm hoping for 185, which was my weight 30 years ago when I felt my best.  I'd like that by the end of the summer, please, but setting deadlines for that sort of things would just make me neurotic about it, so if it happens, fine, otherwise, still fine.

Good Morning Diners,

Flo, I'll have my usual gargantuan cup of coffee with copious amounts of cream, please.

Galaxy: ........what on earth could anyone say!  Just from what you describe, nothing short of full repentance will change this situation.  Very hard for humans to do.  I think most of us here really feel for you and wish there was something we could do to help, but alas.  I don't know you at all except through this forum, but I do wish you the best and hope for the best.

Went over to LHS after work yesterday because google said they were open til 8. Wrong!  Sorry, we're closed.  Please come back again.  Wanted to pick up a sheet of .060 scribed sheet styrene to start on a small structure.  Oh well, another day.

Well, got to go to work.  May check in later.

i hope everyone is OK, safe, and warm.

What if the Easter Bunny wears a hat? You have a covered hopper

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!!! LaughLaughLaugh
Amongst other items I actually picked up a Bowser L&N covered hopper kit at the weekends train show, had a ball running trains for three days, made the setup and pull down all worthwhile.

 Evening Dinners

 Flo, Beer Please

I have been meaning to post, but either my Wife or Life has gotten in the way for a few days now.

Galaxy Here I thoght I was having a bad day. I think you knew it was going to come down to this and I am sorry for you. I hope in the long run you will be happier than you ar now.

Easter Was A Pretty Good Day. It was a very pretty day and I felt like doing some yard work. Dragged out a pile of sapling I cut down last week. Have a pile about 4 foot high that looks like a wicker fences. Then cut down some more. Slowly I hope to reclaim the backyard. I would have done more, but my wife want us to take Sparkie The Rocket Dog to the park. That meant she wanted to go to the park! Whistling Over all it was a good time, well till my wife freaked out because some dogs ran over to us! I was holding Sparkie Leash, and he stayed calm and collected, unlike my wife! Sigh

Today Pretty Much Sucked Caboose! Work sucked, was busy all day with inventory, customers that where either rude or just looking. Then car problems on the way home. High Light Of The Day Was Sparkie The Rocket Dog. Seem Sparkie is up to his old table tricks, climbing up where he should not climb. Sue told me he walked into the bedroom with a bag of crackers he got off the kitchen table, like he wanted her to open them for him because He Has No Thumbs! Laugh That was the first time I smiled all day!

Trains are runing great tonight, so I do have one other thing to be thankful for!

 Latter, Ken

Sparkie last year caught at the diiner table at Easter stealing Deviled Eggs! Wink Seems he was off by only 1 day!

Evenin' folks!

Janie, I could sure use a cup of decaf to help me unwind tonight....

Man!  What a day...  I have been running all day long.  Been emailing back and forth with several people trying to set up a Meeting to look over the rooms we will be using at RIT for the convention.  Finally got that under control a couple hours ago.  Got an email first thing this morning from the contractor saying he is just waiting to lnow when the roofer will remove the wood stove chimney so he can schedule when he will start.  I called the roofer around noon to see what was goiung on with them.  About 3PM they pulled up in a truck with two of his workers.  They finally got the old Metalbestes Chimney removed and replaced the steel roofing over the spot.  Had to cut and instsall a chunk of plywood to fill in the space where it was.  They didn't have any plywood so I went down cellar and grabed a chunk I had in stock from building benchwork.  They removed the rain gutter on that side of the house and took that with them as well.

Last Thursday I had a crown come off while chewing on some jelly beans...  Got that reinstalled over at the Dentist early this afternoon.  She thinks the tooth may not have been completely dry when the crown was put in 2 years ago.  She hopes I will get more than two years out of it this time...  I promised her I would not eat any more jelly beans for a couple days...  Right after that, I stopped at a local carpet store and picked out the new carpet for the living room.  Put a downpayment on it to hold it for when we are ready to get it installed.  Sent an email to the contractor so he knows about it.

While the roofer was getting ready to leave I saw my next door neighbor walking across the street holding something in his arms.  I pardoned myself and went over to see him.  He had their old Kittie wrapped in a towel in his arms....  She finally passed away today over across the the street.  The guy over there told him she was trying to chase squirrels....  I will miss the old girl sitting on my porch sunning herself.  She was a lucky cat, had a very long life, and a good home....

Have a great night everyone!

My laptop is my only computer for work so it is a desktop when I am home, and a laptop when I am on the road.

Evening guys

cool out tonight but can't wait for warm weather to get out biking. I was home today as I took it off to watch opening day in baseball actually I'm off until Thursday. I am heading over to the hobby shop tomorrow. funny, winter is usually my railroad time but in the last year or so I have got more done in the summer. I love the summer but on days when the heat is dangerous out I'd rather stay indoors and play strat baseball or work on trains. I do love a warm summer night out on the swing watching the ball game on the ipad

Good evening!  Back from skiing once again.  This year, the Parrothead Festival coincided with the Bunny Festival.  It remains seriously cold up north in ski country, with fresh snow and a lot of wind to boot.  My ladies are coming back from Florida on Wednesday.  Sunday morning I texted them that the snow had stopped and the sun came out.  In return, I got a picture of my daughter leaving the ocean after a morning swim.  Different world.

At this time of year, we'd usually be picking our way down the trails to avoid rocks and bare spots.  This year, there is still edge-to-edge cover extending well into the woods.  The only thing the ski areas are missing is skiers.  I saw almost no one but season pass holders today, and since they've had our money for a long time, the mountain makes nothing on us.  They did, though, have the annual "British Invasion" of teens from England.  When I arrived Saturday night, I walked into a crowd of about a dozen Justin Biebers.  They were all dressed slightly differently and had different colored hair, so the first thought that came to mind was that they had been 3D printed and then hand-painted by elves at Preiser.

Well, I had quite a few hours skiing, and the lack of crowds meant I was just looping the lifts and trails and taking no breaks.  After a 3-hour drive home, I'm beat.  I'll finish this corned beef sandwich and beer, and that will be it.

Evening, Folks!

A really slow day, but that´s OK, as I haven´t been feeling up to snuff today. Somethins wrong with my stomach, so it´s been salt biscuits and chamomilla tea for me today.

I worked a little on the plan, aiming to get rid of those (Useless) intermediate modules and re-grouping the scenes into a more logical sequence.

I am quite happy with the result.

Wish I could start building it!

No Janie, nothing for me this time, my stomach seems to be acting up again...

Have a good one!
