"With a broken wing, derailed leading truck and snow coming down fast, the Conrail snow train had to leave the Jordan spreader behind, to be dug out at a later time( perhaps May at this rate)".

These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway. As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).
Very nice. You took this outside, right? Or have you come up with an awesome snow technique?
Yeah, real snow on my porch railing.
That looks so neat...good shot as well!!

eh, we hear you. But this year we are void of snow in our area.
No Snow here. But boy, we sure do wish we had your snow here. That is MONEY IN THE BANK for farmers and oil workers. Out there it will just run into the ocean, which last I looked, already had enough water in it.

Yeah, Lion, I hear ya there. Oregon is dry this year too. Three little snowfalls so far. In central Oregon, that means forest fires coming...
BUT, nice little scene there, your Jordan in the snow. Dan.
Anyone in those warmer climes want some snow? Got plenty to go around here on Boston's South Shore. North Weymouth, MA had received a total of over 70" in the Feb storms. Boston (Logan Airport), only needs 1.5" to break the standing record! Actually someone is "cashing" in on this mess and selling snow via internet.
My club was totally shut down, buried for almost 2 weeks. We have a show in 2 weeks, town and private contractors are plowing and moving w/ loaders to hopefully gain enough parking.

Send it on down. I just got done playing ultimate frisbee during lunch and am still sweating. In the 80s today I think.

We even got snow in Texas last night with freezing rain. My wife checked the weather report and some folks in town got 8 inches of snow! Normally we do not get much in the way of snow, we are ten days away from our average last killing frost for goodness sakes. I might go down to the club tonight and check out some mods to one of my 2-6-6-6 locos that was in the user video section. I put bullfrog snot on all 12 drivers that should let me see what one of these will drag around the layout unassisted.
It is still snowing in Pa. Already shoveled twice then spent some time in the train room. I could use that snow plow!
I'm done shoveling..........time to model!!
Snow time is a great time to work on the layout provided you are well stocked and don't find you need to go to the LHS for supplies. No supplies? Reading old MR's or N.G. Gazettes is always a good option, too.
Now there is the third option....Take some of your train stuff out in the snow for realistic winter scenes. Just don't slip on ice and drop that priceless irreplacable brass loco on your way down to terra firma.

Thanks everyone. Most people have one of these shots, so I figured it was time for me to get one myself. I'm actually surprised how nice the color and background turned out, almost looks real.
