As retirement gets closer and closer and I will soon have time to build a layout I am wondering what color of ballast the Milwaukee Road used between Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Channing, Michigan. I assume the mainline ballast might have been different than for sidings, correct? Does anyone have any idea what model ballast products would best match what the Milwuakee Road used on this stretch of tracks?
