I do not see where you have anything to apologize for to be honest. I read what you wrote as something that could be like tongue in cheek if your were older. I just can't see the harm - you were just being 16 is all with still some growing to do to get to the point where you can appreciate your dad. If I remember back all those many years when I was in my mid to late teens I thought my father was strange and knew nothing - he thought and acted differently from how I did and nothing about what he said or thought made any sense to me at all.

Latter, well, I valued what he thought about things which often gave me an opportunity to ponder a different point of view. You also will learn when and where the places are when you can say how you feel - regrettably this forum is not one of them.
