I ran across a copy of an ariticle bu Paul Dolkos titled, "A Prototype Siding You Can Model". It's from the July 1979 issue of Model Railroader. It describes a siding in Harrisonville that has eight industries, mostly farm related, along a three block stretch of track. I brought up Google Maps to see what this are looks like today. Only one building still remains today, a one story warehouse that was part of the ready mix cement plant. All of the siding trackage is gone. The grain elevators are gone aas are the two oil dealers, state highway yard and feed company. What a difference 35 years has made.
