Remember them?

This firm was started by a husband and wife, back during the late 1950's, as a side job, in their respective home in New Jersey and prospered for well over 40 years.

For the readers who are not familiar with Bev-Bel, they specilized in customing painting and decorating of HO, N and O Scale stock undecorted Athearn, Roundhouse, Train Miniaturer and others in HO, plus other scale manufacturers.

No deacaling used, print pad stencil method.

There a several web-sites that deal in Bev-Bel Inventory, but not complete. Mainline something is one and Hoseeker.net is another.

A complete compendum on Bev-Bel, like on Athearn would be interesting and someone should have the interest to undertake this project.

Anyone up to it?

Run 8,I have over 160 of their IPD boxcars that I bought over the years and I still buy the ones I don't have..

All total I have 233 IPD boxcars from Bev-Bel,Athearn,Roundouse,Robin Rails and CM Shops.

Jim,That site leaves a lot to be desired as far as research..Photos would improved that site 100%.

I use as a reference point but, still I wish it was better.

a company called Yankee Dabbler (google them) bought out most of the inventory when Bev Bell went out of business. I bought 75 Bev Bell cars from them and look on their website & you will see that they have a lot more. They sell a good line of MR supplies and at very  reasonable prices. They have 2 stores, 1 in Bellmawr N.J.& 1 in Port Richey  FLwhich is run by the father o0f the 1 in N.J.

Bob D As long as you surface as many times as you dive you`ll be alive to read these posts.
