Jimmy_BraumLet's keep the advertisting going
Even though these aren't billboards I think they qualify as advertising. I scanned a sale flyer from a local drugstore, shrank the images, and put them in the windows of my 1:87 scale Rite-Aid drugstore.
Show us some signs

A former advertising painting is showing through decades of dirt on the side of a building.
Let's keep the advertisting going.
Guy PapillonIs B/A a defunct oil Company?
B/A was taken over by Gulf, that's why I asked for Gulf. I am not sure what happened to B/A paint Co. Better known as BAPCO paint. And a whole host of other B/A companies. Their stuff is quite collectable. I have an old oil can (unopened) that must be a good 70 years old out in the garage. Time to do some reading.
Back to our regularly scheduled programming Folks!

yankee flyerI have always Liked Great Northern, how about some rolling stock with the Goat?
Lee's request was for something with the GN Goat
Glad to hear you're doing better, Lee!
But you're still on the hook to suggest the next "show me."
Hey every body.
I have an old picture of horses and cows. This picture was taken before I added another 8' foot to the layout.
I hit a speed bump in the road of life, and had to take Chemo and a stem cell transplant. Everything is coming along nicely now. As soon as I get some energy back I plan to resurrect the trains.
Have a good day
I have always Liked Great Northern, how about some rolling stock with the Goat?
I wasn't going to post again so soon but it's been 14 hours. I guess the coaling tower, roundhouse and ash pit and hoist count as things I got for free since I purchased them with a gift card. Show me a farm scene.

Show me something you got free, money wise... that is.
Over 24 hours and no heritige locos. How about a "fantasy" heritige unit??
Maybe CSX could have used the same logo as is on the SD unit,,instead of the silly little boxcar.
Show me an industrial loco!
GP7 MEC 572 is a 3-fer on repaints. Originally delivered in maroon & gold, it was repainted yellow and green in the 60s. IN the late 70s, local railfans requested that a locomotive scheduled for shop work be repainted in its heratige color scheme. SO here it is as it was painted in the 40s and 50s or 70s and 80s
ALso, RS-11 MEC 801 was originally painted green & gold when it was delivered in the late 50s; like 802 in the picture. It was repainted yelow & green in the late 70s
572 and 801 started in my shop as Atlas undecorated kits, 802 is a factory paint with weathering I added
