Old beat up shanty built from scratch and the plans were found in Model railroader...of course I modified a couple details.Let's keep up with the scratchbuilt stuff.
(My Model Railroad, My Rules)
These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway. As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).

George In Midcoast Maine, 'bout halfway up the Rockland branch
Freelance in Z scale,My Grande Valley Railway.
Turtle Creek decals were available from Micro-Scale
Where did you get those decals? They were in one of the MR magazines, correct? I am asking this, because I just got an undecorated hopper, and figured I could turn one into a Turtle Creek hopper. Besides, I do freelance in the Pennsylvania area, so it would not be that farfectched.
It has been about 9 hours, so I will give a bump with a Turtle Creek Central boxcar
More freelance please
The Aurora & Portland is a fictional road of a friend from North Carolina. I always had an itchin' for an Alco C415, but the prototype roads I model never had one. So after aquiring on of the roads SW1500s to switch my concrete plant, I thought,"Why not" and did the C415 to share plant duties!
My excuse is the plant is leasing them from the A&P!.
Show me some more freelanced stuff!
Karl
NCE über alles!
I'm going to assume the theme continues to be freelanced railroads.
The Iron Belt is a fictional short line serving Clevland area steel mills, with trackage rights over some Class I railroads in the region.
Let's see some more freelanced railroads and/or equipment.
-Ken in Maryland (B&O modeler, former CSX modeler)
My freelanced road is the GLC, Great Lakes Central. Running mostly patched out locos right now, only one, a C44-9W is in new paint. More on the bench. Here the main switcher:
Here's a patched out ex Conrail SD45 and the tail end of the Dash 9W: My problem is, that while checking out train videos, and opening up my You Tube channel, I searched around, and found out there is a real GLC operating in Michigan! It used to be called the Tuscola Saginaw Bay Railways, but an investment company bought it out, and changed the name. Now what ? Since my road is located in the upper Midwest, maybe I could incorporate the two, and bring back the Lake Michigan car ferry/ train barge, from decades ago ! Mike.
