Easy Peasy! Up at the top in the forest of Central Park in front of the Manhattan skyline. He is pretty big in this photo.

Yup, that is where the little warmint is. The girders were fun enough to make: is is curogated cardboard, painted correctly.
Him hidden good, tink I see, but maybe a bat hanging there instead - too darkish
LION,
I have lost my ability, to enlarge your pic's, so I'll have to be out of the hunt for a while.
But my guess would be, to the left of the center post, at the middle where the yellow safety line is.
Plus I like the yittle route Map.

You have not yet found the LION. This is an easy one, but I'll give you more time on it.

He's on top of the middle signal.
There are LIONS and then there are scraps of stuff that look like LIONS. Can ewe tell the difference?
Actually, there is no LION in that picture. You did see the Bushy LION in the first two shots.
Is that a LION there, underneath the 9th relay of the top row in a bundle of wires?
?
Bruce
Take a magnetic reed switch, attach it to a pair of wires, I am using some conductors stripped out of a Cat-5 cable. Drill a 3/32" hole between the tracks and insert the assembly (much easier than trying to construct it in situ.) Cover the assumbly with a small snip of duct tape to protect it.Trains have magnets on the bottom of a middle car, pulls detection relays.
Yeah Relays. LIONS do not understand chips or transistors and all that he knows about vacuum tubes the that they glow red and get very hot. RELAYS.... That a LION can understand. Things that go CLICK, and you can see what they are doing. Here is motherboard of LION.
Our little friend appears to be hanging out in the (big) red light district.
Oh, yes, the posters. I was at our Pepsi distributorship, I needed a gas line for our machine, and I saw stacks of these panels. I knew that they would make great building material for structures on my layout, and so they gave me these.
In the meanwhile, the winter sun was bothering the poor little LION, and so he put the panels up on the window sill. Once upon a time they were all right side up, but I took some down for some more light one day. Then recently I put them back up again without paying attention to which end was up.
Lion,
WOW! Look it all the wever's and stuff's, I wanna' pway wit dose', can I?
BTW, The two center poster's on the window's, are upside down. picky picky.
Meow!

So here is the LION'S GRS machine. The power supply for the trains is to the left, the output to the tracks passes through that red light. The locomotives do not draw enough to current to cause the lamp to light, but drop a a coin, or other short and all of the current passes through the light, and it lights up. Lets the operator know that there is a problem on the line. What with a 15 amp power supply, some shorts are not enough to trip the internal protection in the supply.
I saw that spot on top of the car, that looked like a little LION, but it is not. It is not in focus. LIONS are always in focus as compared to the rest of the frame. Atop the train you just see the wood work of the platform roof. The LION is on the window frame on the Storm Door.
JoeinPA Nope. He's sitting in the corner of the door window under the 4. Joe

I agree.
Lion is holding tight to the top of the car above the 7 on the number board
Got some new pictures on the layout.

Oh, OK. By the red piece of wire? That was a good one!
He is sitting on the cable where the #12 connection for Rector Street is made. He is looking very proud of himself.
Please pass the Spaghetti.

BPoi Hmmm. Do you ever tell us where he was when we don't find him?
Yes, normally I try to do this, and I tried with this one, but when I enlarged the photo you could see him no better than when I did not enlarge it. He is just below the horizontal center of the photo, to the left of a red object which is to the left of a paint bottle. From the left edge of the clock straight down to the red object. Yup that was a tough one.
Lion all that wiring can still serve two purposes; If you drop anything fragile off the layout, it will have a soft landing. (you may never get it untangled though)
Second. It makes me feel a lot better about what I thought was my wiring mess! Dan
