Swap meet Kent Wa
Posted by ba&prr on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 8:27 AM

Next month the Boeing employees' model railroad club is having a swap meet in Kent WA. Has anyone attended this? If so is it worth going to? I live in Tacoma so the driving distance is no big issue. Thanks for any input.  Joe

It is not a bad meet- the trick is to get there very early-people line up an hour+ before the doors open. Usually there is a good selection of items from new to "well used" and anything in between. Admission is a little pricey but potentially worth it- there are years I have gone and not spent a dime but got to socialize with many of my friends and then there are the times I leave with my wallet bare because the selection/prices were real good. If you go- go with an open mind. You don't always find what you are looking for but you may.

Thanks. I go to the Great Train Expo in Puyallup. I went to the one in Chehalis this past Saturday. It was small but I bought a LifeLike Proto2 GP9 DCC ready for $35.00. What a deal. Joe
