Alantrains It's the 4th page of the "Show Me" thread, but the thread had slipped to page 2 of the "General Discussion" Forum and looked like it would slip further down unless someone posted. cheers

My favorite scene- "2 mile long" causeway to the island seaport of Karankawa (my version of Galveston) with Santa Fe Texas Chief nearing the end of its run from Chicago.
Show me YOUR favorite scene.

Motley Another member I have not seen is Grampy Trains
I have seen Grampys Trains avatar in the Users Online box a couple of times lately, sure miss those "Prototype" photos of his.
This was originally a "Brazilian prototype"hopper car that my kids brought to me when they were both young because they knew I liked coal cars. I turned down the pizza cutter wheel flanges while assembling it, and were they happy when they saw it in a coal train.
I will continue Brents request, Please show me something to do with MRR that was given to you as a gift. That you did not ask for or know you were getting.
Cheers, the Bear.

About 13 hours out, and no surprise gifts, so I will drop back one request, and show my current favorite scene - Why? because it is almost done and is turning out the way I had imagined it about 10 months ago. Still needs some scenery work, a facia board, and some other stuff....
Show me another scene that turned out the way you imagined it during planning

Show me a MOW train.
29-1/2 hours, and no MOW train??
Show me any MOW equipment
MOW train coming right up.
Show me a rugged mountain scene.
Rugged mountain scene photographed in 1970 on a 4 x 11 foot figure-8 layout. Oh, 4x11 was the horizontal dimension. 16 inches to 74 inches was the vertical span of the layout.
Show me a really OLD model rr photo.
JimInCR MOW train coming right up. Show me a rugged mountain scene.
That is not a MOW train. It is for clearing wrecks, not for Maintaining the right Of Way. A very big difference. MOW, would have items for replacing ties, cutting brush, fixing switches, removing weeds, etc.

So this is wrong then???? http://rrx.chadkluck.net/2013/03/road-trip-nets-pictures-of-three-maintenance-of-way-cranes/
JimIn CR .... I like your train, and it certainly is close enough to be considered a MOW train. I would encourage more posts of your nice looking layout.
Lake ... I don't think we can be perfect in this thread if it is to keep moving. "Close enough" is sort of an unspoken rule to encourage more participation. This is just for fun.
Let's try to move the thread onward.
If anyone can post from the last request (something old), please do so. . ... Otherwise. it would be fun to have someone post in this thread for the first time of anything they care to share. ..... Or any of you regulars post something new. ... That's really open ended so post what you want. have fun.
OK this one isn't as old as leighant's black-n-white photo above, but it's one of my oldest - 1996 to be exact. 3 Front Range geeps. I scanned-in a print from my wife's regular film camera, a Nikon FA, I had just discovered the joy of being able to digitally alter my photos.
Show us a short 'way' freight (a.k.a. a local)
Bear and Gary, thanks for your support. And Gary, thanks for the complement! I have been mostly lurking, I'll try to be a participate a little more.
I agree, let's have fun. The last request is for a local way freight!
