Then a request is made.

It's the 4th page of the "Show Me" thread, but the thread had slipped to page 2 of the "General Discussion" Forum and looked like it would slip further down unless someone posted.

cheers

Thanks all for the explanations. It all makes sense now.Big Smile

That is why I bumped it with the picture of the blue B&M SW-1 even though it did not match the last request. It was a couple of threads from dropping to page 3 on the General Discussion. Part of the idea of ShowME is to keep the pictures coming quickly. Originally, it was a 2 hour window for something new; this has been relaxed in recent months but we still want to keep it moving, and not fall off General Page 1. So lets see my request for:

Show me another older locomotive in a newer paint scheme

I suppose this ore train could be called a unit train. .... This will bump the thread to page one again.

If you have not yet posted a picture in this thread, please feel free to do so.

Please show a 4 axle diesel locomotive.

I am on page four. Why would your post have any thing to do with page one?

Ken,
Great post, yes exactly!
Sincere thanks for the great link, wish I saw that before I piped the brake gear on that car I showed.
It also showed that my nonperpendicular grabs on a couple of my Gons, is prototypical!! Horay!!!

Thanks again, great resource!!!

Now, back to regular programing.....

Ken's Request is;

Let's see some more odd and/or unique trains

Hey Chad, check out the blog at this link: http://smd.cc/tliw/

It's sort of like an O.Henry-type story about a flatcar like yours, with lots of photos - I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

. . .

Here's something 'unique', you'll rarely find these at a typical RR crossing:

If one of those loaded bottle cars were to derail and spill, there would be one heluva fire!

Let's see some more odd and/or unique trains

Two days, and no tank car trains? Let's simplify it to tank cars in a train.
