Shells for Atlas yellow box RS3`s & RS4/5`s

In the 1980`s  did Atlas use the same shell on both their RS3 & RSD4/5 engines? I ask this because today I received from a seller on HOI 2 RS3`s but noticed one had the  cab# of an RSD4/5 I bought back in the 80`s That # was 8451 although both engines were RS3 frames & drives.

Thanks

Bob D

Yup, same shell for both the RS3 & RSD4/5.  Atlas also made a shortened RS11/RSD12 shell(a little under 2 scale feet) that fit on the RS3/RSD4/5 drives...
