LION node about the fee-asko! Most printers would just stick a lable over the offending text. It is after all only 80,000 copies, and a couple of low paid schlubs could do the job in a couple of days. No big deal--LION has stuck lables on printed products before. (Station agents could stick the label in their spare time, but that would violate half a dozen union contracts.)

But the proff-readers, thems the guilty ones. When LION owned a printing press (6x9 hand press)  dad would do the proof reading for 50c a job, then if there was a mistake after that he would pay for the wasted paper. That he ever made a mistake simply did not happen, but I got used to taking everything to the proof reader.

Nice thread guys... LION appreciates the attention. The original post was at 4:PM and LIONS do not compute after about 2:30 or 3:00 when they high tail it to the train room. After Vespers is time for bed, not for 'puters. Anybody want to get up and say Morning Prayer with us?

I'm not sure which is worse, printing the wrong ticket price on a transit map, or selling a foot-long sandwich that's only 11 1/2 inches at Subway.

Either way, it's just not fare.

Lion hasa been diz tracked lately. He is concerned about his sis teen, and maybe wants to go romin over that way to see his mother and be sure his older brothers are treating her fair, so he forgot the fare.

Somewhere, I have a subway token left over from when I rode the NY subways on a regular basis.

It cost 15 cents.

I am sure they could come up with something more inventive than that, just read "The DiVinci Code". If it does happen watch out for Cudaken's wolfhound in addition to the stray LIONs.

Yep! I just got 6 PS-1 boxcars from MTH... tiny black stickers that say "Kadee coupler equipped" cover over the original text "Kadee COMPATIBLE couplers."

And if that doesn't admonish the NYC subway some super fine text with lawyerspeak that says "...not responsible for errors" would always work Wink

Anybody want to get up and say Morning Prayer with us?

My morning ritual involves driving on Boston's famed Route 128 at 70+ miles per hour.

I will leave it as a discussion topic:  Which of us is "nearer, my God, to Thee?"

Morning rush hour, before 7AM and going opposite most of the traffic.  And if you're going less than 70 some guy will be on your caboose sounding his whistle.
