The road looks great, the patches and the shoulders are a nice touch.

This is a generic 30s car that came with a Tyco Honest Sam's Used car Lot. I turned it into a hotrod, Chopped the top, added side pipes from wire, modified the bumpers into nerf bars, put HO scale slot car wheels on the back to make cheater slicks, and hand painted flames on the sides.

Show me another hotrod

It's an old photo from my first layout 4 years ago, which was an N scale one.

Central St in Sheepscott presently has 3 buildings made of paper:

  • The grey building behind Reny's, on the right is a mockup mode of cereal boxes and painted grey. I made this to check the size of a future building
  • Lacy Variety, the white front building across from Renys, is a DPM modular mockup awaiting the final parts which have been out of stock for a long time
  • Teacup Cafe, the building with the blue sign, is a building designed using the ModelBuilder program and printed on photo paper. I have just started to assemble it

I guess there is not that many golf courses around on layouts?

Or maybe golfers shoot golf instead of shooting layout pictures...

Background for N scale portside scene collaged together from various pictures: ship at left from a vintage photo website, cargo transfer sheds drawn in Photoshop and printed out, ore unloader visible over roof of a cargo shed at center from an ad for Walthers HO model, end view of boxcars between two cargo sheds from staged model protographs, Imperial Pure Cane raw sugar import terminal drawn in Photoshop from 1 inch square photo in architectural history guide.

Show me more paper.  (Interpret that any way you want...)

Thank you Lee,

Starting from left to right on the background, are four buildings that are background structures up against the backdrop. So I guess you can say; the upper shelf and backdrop, is semi 3D.

HALF of a flatcar  And LESS than half of a powerplant.  I tried to squeeze the impression of a power plant into almost zero space against the background with this mockup.  The cardstock cutout face of the powerplant was drawn in Photoshop LE and printed out.

Show me another flatcar or more than one, since this was only half.
