Good Morning!!!
Coffee and the three Cheese omelet please. Thanks
Jeff- Funny story about the snake. At least now it is, probably not so funny at the time. Sounds like I’d have the same reaction. Glad the eyes are getting better.
Flip- Good news on Deb’s surgery. Prayers for a good healing .
Hey! Mornin Fergie!
Welp, gotta get two little bubble cars or whatever they’re called (plastic cars little kids sit in and push around with their feet with a big tall roof and…..eyes.) together then all will be assembled for the Easter egg hunt Saturday. A but wait….need to go to Walmart today to get one more bike. Seem to be short after a stripped pedal requiring an m12X1.25 tap and die to get installed . Why not do that? I don’t have a 1.25 pitch. 1.50 yes. 1.25…of course not. Why not go get one? They’re all over the place you know. Weeeeeell because it’s left hand thread of course. And guess what neither I nor ANYone in Springfield has without ordering. Yup. Thaaaat’s the one! Won’t get here in time so, get another bike, and fix this one for next year. (shakes head)
Oh well, best get a movin for anything else goes wro….oh WAIT!!!! This is my lucky day!!!!! Well, my lucky star is supposed to be shining so……, same thing. Went to the Chinese buffet yesterday anyway and things went normal. Nothing special or great. Had to wipe my own mouth. Maybe someday. Oh well, Suki wasn’t too happy for some reason, not her usual self though she did say hi, but I didn’t get her anyway. My “boose” was next to the waitress pit I call it, and I did hear/understand her to ask the waitress after I paid and as I was getting up to leave something that included “him” (could have been he, she, her or it as it’s the same word. That’s why you gotta hear/understand more words to know what is really being said) and “you” and it was a question. That I do know. Didn’t hear what the other said at all as she speaks real soft and quiet whereas Suki has one of those higher voices I could hear through a train horn (train reference). But I heard/understood Suki respond “four” then “he” (again ?) something “me five”. I think 5. Five is “mm” in Cantonese so….maybe said maybe didn’t. Could have meant “hm” too. Anyway, I leave all girls $4 tip because they all do a great job, but Suki I usually leave $5. She smiles a lot more and checks on me more. Not as much as ol’ Nancy did, but she is pretty attentive. And she just haaaappens to be the prettiest too.
What Flo? Oh don't give me that look and don't tell me you don't tip a young guy waiter just a bit more if he's friendly and good looking. Brenda does. She claims he does a better job than he really does to cover. Who cares, it's normal. It doesn't bother me, not like that means they're wanting a date or anything. Why they've done that since the caveman days. The more attractive waitresses didn't get drug to the tables by their hair near as rough. It's ingrained in our evolutionary tract.
Oh look I’m rambling again. Imagine that. Best get going and buy my lottery tickets and um….I was kidding about a month’s wages on them. Probably spend no more than $5. And that is like 5X what I spend on lottery in a month. Maybe two months. Let you know tomorrow how lucky I was today.(chuckle)
Ya’ll have a good day, ya hear!!!!

Mornin' everyone!
Zoe, I'll have a bowl of hot oatmeal with brown sugar, one of those sour cream glazed doughnuts, and lots of dark roast coffee in my FGLK mug please. Oh, and fill up Fergie's mug for him!
Fergie! Good to see you sir! How's life on the rolling sea?
Jeffrey? Having pizza for lunch? I see you got the old pizza cutter out this morning. Neat loco!
Todd, I was going to mention your church yesterday and forgot. Reminds me of a little country church near here that I used to sing solos in back when I was in High School. Last time I was there was to sing at the wedding of one of my colleagues (Instrumental Music Teacher) back 20 years ago. Has a very welcoming feel to it!
I see Barry has a good appetite again this morning. The gray skies and cloudiness you had yesterday at your house has made its way over to the Finger Lakes for the day. Currently 38°F under dark clouds with a high of 41° later this afternoon.
I will be doing my grandfatherly duty and watching granddaughter #2 this afternoon and then transporting the girls and their mother to dance class after #1 gets off the bus.
Best get myself under motion as I have several "to dos" to accomplish.
Later!

Morning folks. Yes please Flo a decalf would be just fine. The high test makes my hands shake and I've got to put a couple of loco's back together today. Those tiny parts are hard to get in place when the hands are a vibrating too much.
My two decoder installs worked out just fine. Don't know what I was stalling around about.
Kids were here for a few hours yesterday, Grandma had her usual great time with the Grandson. I love watching her with him. Puts a sparkle in her eye and a smile on her face. Nice!!
Son in Law got the JMRI working for me and in the process discovered a wiring mix-up that I have to fix. Seem that my main line thinks it's the programming track. Now how the heck did I do that I ask you.
Oh right, got a question. What size resister do I need to put in the led headlight circuit???? I seem to remember a 1K ohm but not sure.
Nice day it looks like around here. Blue Sky, No Wind and around 38F forecast. Finally.
Later folks

***Ken, try not to spend precious energy "worrying" about a health issue (regardless of what it is), as doing so will not change nor help resolve them. My 2 cents worth. ps: do as I suggest, not as I sometimes do.
***Jeffrey, what are you doing with such an adorable little steamer? Is it DCC?
Have a terrific day all.

Was heading across the little overpass out of Fairmount just as a tank train passed underneath. Never saw the locos pulling it but the train extended beyond my view and appeared to be a long one. If it had been a different road and having more time, I would have turned around and chased it down. Still made my day.

Evening Dinners!
Flo, Beer please and one for Shaky.
Who's Shaky you ask? Well it is the PK GP 20 I got from Vince! I Shaky it, it works!
Gary, you have around 10 or so SD 7 and 9's right? Are they Proto's? I got the B&O PK 2000 SD 9 on line today. By the way Jeffery, I used the trick you told me about and it worked fine! Anyway Gary how many cars did yours pull when you first started to run them?
I do remember that when I got my PK 2 SD 7 Rio Grand it was not a great puller. I broke it in behind my (Now Vince's) Athearn SD 40-2. Later it became a good puller, guess the wheels broke in?
Today when I got the B&O SD 9 on line, it could not pull a track cleaning and 4 freight cars? My PK 2 SW 900 can pull that, and it a small switch engine?
So for the heck of it, I did a Pull Off. I pitted the PK 2 SD 9 B&O against the Bachmann PPR GP 30 which is not a good puller! Want to guess which one won? Soon as I started the SD 9 wheels moving, the little GP 30 started to drag the SD 9 happy caboose around!
But at this point, I just happy to have it running! Good looking engine!

Nice pics Ken.
Well I made it the whole day today. Felt pretty crappy at the start but as the day went on I felt fine. Seeing as its a holiday tomorrow I have a long weekend. Aside from normal house chores Im going to relax and do some weathering and tackle one of the twenty some odd kits that have been on my shelf. I keep buying them but dont build them, lol. I also have a order of about 6 cars coming sometimes this week also, lol

Hello. Got back from Elmira a little while ago. Just got back on.
Got a 1/72 scale Me 262, 1/48 scale Me 109, and 1/48 scale P-51D Mustang (Tuskegee Airmen colors).
Also got two N scale cabooses and a gondola. The gondola and one caboose are to be kitbashed into a work caboose in the future.

Now why does that sound so familiar. I've got some building kits from 25 years ago that still haven't been put together.
I like the price I paid for them though. Seemed expensive at the time I seem to recall.
jeffrey-wimberlymy rememberer is broke but my forgeterer is working great.
That would about cover it some days.

Hey guys
Been keeping myself busy lately. I noticed one of the target-practice locos had a nose light, like the types used on C&S SD40s. I knew I wasn't going to use a beat-up life-like GP38-2 for anything, so I decided to saw the nose light out. I have to clean it up a little before I install it on my Kato SD40.
As for that air eraser, I tried it today to see if the Super glue would hold it together. Put some pressure to it and if fell apart.... I tried JB weld and will try it tomorrow... I made an alignment dowel to hold the gravity feed hopper straight to. I made this by inserting a wooden dowel into a drill, and used a file and some 80 grit sandpaper to shape it...

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
Well it's time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Good morning. It's 53° with 100% humidity. Mostly cloudy now but it'll clear some later. The high will be 77°.Well I feel more or less normal today. Still have some minor irritation in my left eye but my vision has cleared up a lot. I don't need sunglasses to look at the screen now. No particular plans for today. I may work on the layout later. I have the GP7's, GP35 and slug running this morning. I may switch them out later and bring in the four FP7's for a while. The decoder in the slug gave up the ghost last night so I had to change it out. The old one had pre-existing damage but it was good enough to run the motor when it was put in. Guess the damage finally became to much to bear. I just finished speed matching the slug this morning.
Good Morning!!! And Happy Good Friday!
Coffee and biscuits and gravy please. Thanks.
Mostly sunny, with a high near 53 and that is a good Friday. Hold yer breath and cross your fingers, they’re saying 30% chance of rain after 1 tomorrow…..Easter egg hunt activities start at noon. Hope it holds of til say…4. All would be good.
Not even gonna guess what I’llI get involved in today after taking the Little Tykes cars over to the park this morn. I know I have to w**k tonight and Brenda is off today so…… It’s a real crapshoot.
Ok, my much anticipated Lucky Day results are in and they are as follows:
I lived……, gotta count for somethin.
Bike front, while at Walmart looking at bikes, I found a pedal set and decided…it’s my lucky day so I’ll give it a shot. Worst happens I’m back here to buy bike. Went home and, totally unheard of for me, this bike was one of the “fits most bikes”, AND, get this, the internal; threads weren’t boogered to need a tap. The count is now two.
Lottery, well spent five hard earned dollars in this frivolous fashion. Two $1 scratch-n-sniffs worth…..nada. $1 quick pick for Lucky Day Lotto worth….$10 . Couldn’t believe that one. So, I figure worst case on the lottery front, I’ve doubled my money even if the Mega Millions for which I bought $2 worth of quick picks for tonights drawing, comes in a bust.
Now for me…..that is a very lucky day. can I get a hug.. Thank you.
Good Morning
We have SUN!!! Yes, that bright yellow orb is in our skies and...our skies are blue!! No clouds at all!!!...YAY!!!!!
Going to see about getting some new building kits from the storage room and see to getting something built this weekend....
....mmmmmm...what's this in my breakfast special...megh...don't need it...

Flo, Diet Dew Pleases.
Back to W@@K today and Saturday then I am off Sunday.
Well, got to go and take my med's.
Zoe, I'll have a couple sour cream glazed doughnuts and a cup of Seneca Lake Blend Organic Dark Roast coffee to dunk them in please.
Barry has what outside? That is because he sent the clouds over my way... The weather guessers say it is party cloudy out there right now. Right now I see lots of cloudy. That's the part we have... Barry has the other part I guess.
Even with the clouds out there, the solar panels should exceed 300 Kwhs for the month of March today. As of this morning when I checked it is at 297 Kwhs.
Todd, ah..... Nevermind.
Garry, looks like you got all kinds of buses in that scene, and a trolley too! Nice.
Fergie, I love those Tichey kits! Always get to use some of those words my Mom told me she was going to wash my mouth out with soap for using when i build them. They come out awesome though! What kits do you have with you?
Jake, I spent a lot of time in Elmira way back when (got my Masters degree at Elmira College) although i used to spend more time North of there in Horseheads. We use to call Elmira the south end of Northbound Horse back then....
Bill, how do you get the coffee to pour sideways like that?
Zoe, how about a refil on the dark roast?
