Here is a photo of Turtle Creek Timber's 2 spot fresh out of the shops. Swapped some spare O and G scale track for tihs old girl. She is a PFM/United Prairie King from the early '60s. While the paint shop was busy freshening up the paint job and adding the touches to bring her into the family colors, the mechanical shop overhauled the old Pittman motor, she has an actual Pittman motor and not the Japanese clone of one. Cleaned and regreased the main gear box, make a brass bracket to keep the box from torquing backwards when in reverse and installed a new soft rubber tube to connect it to the motor. The paint crew relettered the tender using a mix of decals from the Microscale sets for TCC and various logging lines. The headlight has a 1.5vt micro bulb in it, but I dont have a lighting circuit for it yet and I still need to make a wood load for the tender. Enjoy the pic. Mike

Cost me about $100 bucks in trade value, wish it had the original box but it doesnt. Came in a LMB NYC 0-6-0 box. I am scoping out Maxon coreless motors for it. For now the original Pittman open frame runs nice with low amp and voltage draw. The coreless will make room to fit dcc/sound decoder and speaker in the locomotive cab. Decoder strapped to the top of the motor and hanging out over the gear box, round speaker w/enclosure in the cab room. I have everything but the coreless motor on hand. Working on aquiring a second prairie like this one. I think two engines like this is perfect for my logging branch line. Mike
