Started this the other night, kit off ebay that I got with a box lot of stuff. Got this far before I realized the tubes from the boiler to the steam chests had been cut short, likewise the frame under the cab had been cut short( no place to attach the tender). This sometimes happens when you try to build a previously opened kit (with no directions). Back to ebay to find the needed parts!

I bought the same speeder, and when I received it I was stunned that the wheels would not roll. It bugged me until I finally thought of putting "N" scale wheels on it. May not be Proto, at least it rolls. Hmmm, just noticed that rail joint doesn't look so good, never had any trouble with that shop lead though.

This is the oldest piece of rolling stock on teh Boothbay Railway Village layout. Some people say it is Varney, others say it's Roundhouse. It is a cast metal kit dating from sometime in the 1950s. We have replaced the trucks and couplers so we can run it with out newer equipment
